I am a regular at Matchstick and I absolutely love it. The London Fog is easily the best in the city. The staff is very friendly and cute. They have high chairs for babes and toys too! I like the inclusive space. Overall A+

I am here almost daily. (Embarrassingly, sometimes I'm here multiple times a day.) I'm a bit of a fiend when it comes to caffeine and the people in my world complain that I can be annoyingly picky about my coffee experience -- everything about the coffee itself is of course important, but also the everything about the people, the space and the ambience. For me this place hits all the right notes on all those dimensions.
And it ain't just me. The other day I heard an older couple, sounded like tourists, waxing poetic to David at some length about how they're coffee experts and have had coffee all over the world, and how the coffee he'd made them was the best they'd had. It was very cool to hear. Richly deserved praise, I thought. Which inspired this review.
And if I had to pick one thing that keeps me coming back it would be the people. It's great to see people working so closely and effectively as a team in service of the customer experience. Call out to each and every one of you I see so often, including Laine,Mad, David, Josh, the Sebastians, Yunah, Mike and Haram. Thanks so much to all of you for making the start of my days so great!

The experience has always been amazing whether it's coffee or food. It's also been very consistent which is important. The staff personnel has been stable there for many years and that also helps with the quality and consistency. I hope they are compensated well because they work very hard, tirelessly on that busy location.
Everyone is very pleasant and particularly David. We will certainly recommend that place and encourage you to experience it at least once if you are in Vancouver

I have consistently been coming here because you guys make THE BEST flat whites and matcha lattes. David is almost always my barista. Not only does he make phenomenal drinks but he is always a welcoming positive face especially in those early mornings!

Such a great neighbourhood gem of a coffee shop. The staff are a stellar crew and always make us feel welcome. The one thing that would elevate the customer experience is having an awning outside, that space is such a big part of community interactions. Seems like that would be a no brainier but the owners are probably unsure of the ROI, which is community driven.

a great spot to hang out and draw with a friend or two. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable, making it easy to focus and get creative. The coffee is good, and they’ve got a few tasty snacks to keep you going. Perfect little place to spend a few hours sketching and chatting.

Have enjoyed this place a couple time but won't be back. They dont take cash. Good food and coffee but come on it's not covid anymore, bring back cash! Ive been to other cafes who are accommodating and accept the cash if exact. Not sure why they couldn't do that too :( oh well I'm happy to explore other options and use my cash elsewhere.
