The coffee and pastries are tasty but I can’t stand that they pay their workers so poorly. Do better, matchstick! Your customers will return when you compensate your employees fairly.

Hey Matchstick owners, I want my coffee shop to pay living wages!This had been my regular coffee spot for years. Friend recently told me the workers are seriously under paid. I asked around and confirmed it's a near minimum wage shop!! ? Now I feel conflicted about my loyalty.Low rating reflects business owners, NOT the workers (who are always RAD? to me).My parents (small business owners) always said if you can't pay your workers a living wage, then your business model is broke! Please fix and I'll return. Until then, I'm spreading the honest word!

I would have given this place 5 stars, but then I heard their staff aren't paid well...I want to keep getting my daily coffee and earl grey muffin here but I can't support this place in good conscience if their staff aren't making enough to live in this expensive city - we all deserve a living wage.
