All the Matchstick locations under pay their employees. Paying nearly minimum wage in a city with living costs as high as Vancouver is indefensible.

Good selection of pour overs, 2 options of espresso + decaf. My friend got a cortado with double Colombian, was nice and juicy. I got a flat white with the same bean, but came out more like a latte. Taste was a bit lost in milk. That said, it still went well with the pastries - nice croissants here! A Natural Colombian pour over was quite bright and comfortable. It’s a nice coffee shop!

I had my 7-lb dog in my arms and was about to walk in when the guy behind the counter very intensely told me that dogs weren’t allowed. I can totally respect that, it’s just difficult to know because some coffee shops welcome him and give treats and then others are very strict about not allowing dogs. Left my doggo outside and came in to order a coffee. The other staff member was not very friendly. I used the bathroom and when I came out my coffee was ready and on the counter and the barista was leaning on his elbows on the counter on his phone and when I approached to confirm the coffee on the counter was mine he ignored me and was just entranced with his phone.

Fantastic service and good atmosphere, easily recommended.
Always understaffed, wait times are horrendous, no service whatsoever, go there in midday and there is not even a clean spoon. The sandwiches are delicious though, but put aside at least 15 min for it, which you can easily get a meal at Cactus club;)

I like coming here to study/work. The service is very nice. I am not a fan of the food or drinks though.

One of my favourite coffee shops in YVR. Amongst the few that serve up a great flat white just like back home! Also love that they stock cartems donuts. Would be great if they accepted cash, at the time of writing they have a strange policy of debit/credit/cashless forms of payment being “strongly preferred”
