Good variety of pre-made food and baked goods available, and a range of sandwiches made to order. Wait times can stack up when it's busy but I've always had friendly service. That said, I usually visit on weekends or in the evenings after work. Prices range from being fair to a bit on the high side, but I'd rather pay a little more for something fresh. I've never been disappointed with the portions I receive for the price.
The coffee is okay, not great - but there are plenty of good cafes in the area for that.
I'm not sure if it's seasonal but I'd recommend the hot turkey sandwich, as well as the bagels and latke.

Good baked goods. Really expensive. Staff is nice. They're payment machines push a tip on already really expensive stuff when they're not waiting on you.

I used frequent Max’s Deli when I lived in the neighborhood 20 years ago. I still make a point of going back to Max’s for their delicious baked goods every chance I can.

I was disappointed with their pastries buying it on a Sunday. I ordered quite a bit, got home and found they were not fresh as it was baked from the previous days. They should have advised me. Ended up throwing the pastries away after spending over 90.00.

Desserts were a biiit on the pricy side. The key lime tart was yummy! However, the napoleon was a bit disappointing. Way too sweet, which kind of overpowered the flavour of the pastry and the creamy custard. The pastry layer was also not flaky at all (kind of had a gooey moist texture), which is the essence of a napoleon to me.

I ordered a carrot cake and Nanaimo bar for delivery so did not visit in person. The Nanaimo bar was amazing, even if it was an itty bitty piece. The carrot cake was a bit on the dry side, but I was ordering late in the evening so perhaps it was at the end of its day as well. The price was surprisingly high for the size of the desserts. I would enjoy the Nanaimo again, but will shop elsewhere first for a lesser price. Would love to come in person one day when I feel less price sensitive. I see this as a trend in some of the reviews. Thanks!

An excellent place to spend if you want to get out of the rain and enjoy some delicious, freshly made food. Although I didn't have any, the large variety of desserts made my mouth water
Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance is at street level, and the spaces are large enough to accommodate a wheelchair at the tables

Come for the coffee. Stay away from the food. I paid $10 for SMALL cup of veggies. The bowl from which it came from must be worth $200+. The owner is greedy, to say the least.
