Was in the neighborhood for an appointment and decided to pop in to get something for dinner. Prices are a little high, but lots of varieties of baked goods and savory foods. I decided on a BBQ chicken calzone, only to come home after baking it to find it was a pepperoni and sausage calzone. I dont eat red meat so I threw it out. I live in North Delta so there was no chance to go back to complain. Super disappointed.
Washroom was out of commission. Dry croissant. Slow service. The food looked good though.
Fake cream.
Over priced honestly. Some bakery items were sold for $8 a piece! Food was ok. Lots of room for improvements and their services.
Amazing Potato Knish and Fruit Danish
Ordered classic sandwiches, Jamaican pattie and cinnamon buns. Went back for more cin buns to go lol love how it feels old school.
Haven’t been to Max’s in several years. Disappointed. Chicken Pie was somewhat tasty, but on the dry side.
The corned beef was horrible and so fatty, I would never have that again. Doesn’t compare to the corned beef sandwich at Omnitsky’s Kosher Deli on Fraser St which is amazing. I actually threw out what I purchased.
The loaf of bread was definitely not baked same day as I was told.
Prices are on the high side. Pastries might be good but what I had didn’t leave me wanting to return.
Good variety of pre-made food and baked goods available, and a range of sandwiches made to order. Wait times can stack up when it's busy but I've always had friendly service. That said, I usually visit on weekends or in the evenings after work. Prices range from being fair to a bit on the high side, but I'd rather pay a little more for something fresh. I've never been disappointed with the portions I receive for the price.
The coffee is okay, not great - but there are plenty of good cafes in the area for that.
I'm not sure if it's seasonal but I'd recommend the hot turkey sandwich, as well as the bagels and latke.

Good baked goods. Really expensive. Staff is nice. They're payment machines push a tip on already really expensive stuff when they're not waiting on you.

I used frequent Max’s Deli when I lived in the neighborhood 20 years ago. I still make a point of going back to Max’s for their delicious baked goods every chance I can.

I was disappointed with their pastries buying it on a Sunday. I ordered quite a bit, got home and found they were not fresh as it was baked from the previous days. They should have advised me. Ended up throwing the pastries away after spending over 90.00.
