Server made a mistake on our orders, and instead of fixing it, she went “it’s okay if we leave it like this right?” and was very cavalier, almost joyful about it. Her mistake made a pretty big difference in the price, and basically forced the customers into the role of having to firmly say no and feel like the “bad guy” in the scenario, so I’m not sure how this was okay. Should have tipped zero but unfortunately didn’t have the heart to do that. I still think she should have just went and fixed it upon realizing there was a mistake in what SHE typed up.
Food itself is okay, but it’s too cramped and loud.

Place is overhyped

I didn’t felt after eating that it was worth of 2 hours wait but overall decent place but there is a new place that opened up at Fairmont called Botanist if someone is told to wait 2 hours must ho there as we went there next day you have top class service and food and drinks for pretty much similar price obviously little more but still

They are also good but they should work better on their booking platform as not all people want to make donations it is not about giving money it is about if someone doesn’t believe in charity so it was a problem for me

Make a booking take a deposit towards food not charity

I don't like their layout, since it doesn't feel conducive to a chill or relaxing brunch experience and just feels very high traffic with lots of people walking near you, with tables that are closely placed next to one another. However, it's one of the few brunch places with decent food and would totally recommend. I think their waffles there are a thing that everyone says you should try and I agree.

Cafe Medina is such a cozy and lively spot. We came for lunch as a group of four and waited about 30 minutes, which gave us confidence the food would be good. The dim lighting on a rainy day made the space feel extra inviting and everything looked very clean.

We ordered the Belgian waffle with milk chocolate lavender, fricassée, Tagine, Paella, and a Lavender Latte and Chai Latte. Every dish was delicious. The fricassée was the highlight and the waffle had the strongest lavender flavor I have ever tasted. They make their sauces in house and you can really tell. The sunny side up eggs were perfect and showed real skill. Portions were just right and everything tasted fresh.

Service was great and the staff checked on us often. It can get loud and space is tight so strollers might be tricky, but overall this is one of the best breakfast and lunch spots I have visited. I would happily return every time I am in Vancouver.

OMG the food was absolutely delicious and different than the usual boring breakfast menu you find in most restaraunts. If you want something original, delicious with at great atmosphere go to Medina from breakfast. Every table was full so delivery was a bit slow but worth the wait. Loved it, will definitely return next time I have the chance.

It has been years since I've been here but the food and service is still amazing. Highly recommend the waffles with the milk chocolate lavender.

Wait is crazy long, we waited an hour for a spot at 10am on a Sunday! Food is good but everything was spicy! The waffles are definitely the star of the show, great texture and great taste. We also got the paella and lamb meatballs and they were okay.

Would recommend definitely getting a waffle!

food hits that sweet spot between comfort and creativity, and the flavours are consistently on point. Their brunch classics are famous for a reason, and the waffles with dipping sauces are basically a Vancouver rite of passage. The space has that lively, cozy energy that makes you want to linger a bit longer.

Service is quick, friendly, and they handle the rush well. If you’re in the mood for a brunch that actually feels worth the line, Medina is still the move.

Brunch was excellent, walked out our hotel and there it was a mere 10 feet. Food was very good as was the service, we will certainly hit this up again the next time we are in vancouver.

I’ve had a great experience with Medina this morning. As many reviews suggest, expect to have a long wait going in on Saturday morning. Coffee, food & service were amazing. This is not just going out to eat place, its an experience. The ambience and interior design is also great. Take your time going to Medina & you’l enjoy it.
