My family and I had the pleasure of dining at Michi, a charming restaurant located in downtown Vancouver, and we simply cannot stop raving about our delightful experience! As a family of three, we were excited to explore the wide range of unique and delicious flavors that Michi has to offer. The moment we stepped inside, we were captivated by the nostalgic Hong Kong-style décor. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making us feel as though we were transported to another time and place. The star of the show, without a doubt, was Michi's specialty - the stuffed chicken wings. They offer an impressive variety of flavors, from corn cheese and crayfish, to cumin lamb and curry. We were amazed at how each wing was expertly prepared, packed with flavor, and incredibly satisfying. The salted egg yolk sausage sticky rice wings were a true standout, and we could not get enough of them!In addition to the mouthwatering wings, we were also treated to some authentic curry fish balls, which were perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. To wash it all down, we enjoyed Michi's classic Hong Kong-style milk tea and iced lemon tea. Both beverages were refreshing and complemented our meal perfectly. Our entire experience at Michi was one to remember, and we are already planning our next visit. The friendly staff, unique ambiance, and exquisite flavors make this a must-visit restaurant in downtown Vancouver. If you're looking for a delectable and memorable dining experience, we highly recommend Michi for its exceptional stuffed chicken wings and authentic Hong Kong cuisine. Trust us, your taste buds will thank you

I like this place a lot! I am a s***** for Hong Kong food and had to get the rice rolls which are drown in peanut butter sauce and hot sauce! What a great comboWhat they are known for are the stuffed chicken wings and I thought this is a great concept! It's actually huge and maybe it's too huge because it's hard to hold it with your hand! I feel like it could fall apart but the taste is fantastic thoughShout outs to food wars for making me crave stuffed chicken wings and this is how I found this place

Incredibly good food, great service and very charming, stylized ambience. We enjoyed everything we ate, include michi stuffed chicken leg with sticky rice, sausage and egg yolk (not pictured here). Come hungry!

Hidden gem! Surprised there aren’t more reviews. Really innovative menu with a high level of execution. The chefs obviously really care about creating interesting dishes that are unique to the restaurant. The location itself has a super cool retro/neon diner vibe and has a ton of interesting design flourishes like originally designed posters for each dish. Service was great. Highly recommend!

I know you're here to read about the food, but I need to talk about the interior design of this restaurant first because I am in love. I absolutely adore the restaurant interior as it gives off old Hong Kong vibes with the neon signs and advertisements. The wall next to the sign in the shop window is decorated with mahjong tiles. Next to the counter, there is a vintage phone with a mahjong set on display. With all that being said, it feels like you're in an old Hong Kong movie while you're eating. If you love chicken, this may be a great place for you to try something new. Michi Craft Kitchen is known for their rice-stuffed wings. According to their website, "'Michi'" refers to 'chicken wings stuffed with rice' in Chinese." My cousin and I tried a few with my favorite being the cheesy corn wing. My cousin tried the Spicy Fried Noodles with Beef Rib, which I sampled. She and I agreed that it was extremely spicy with it being mala spicy as well. For drinks, I tried the House Special Hong Kong-Style Milk Tea with Bear, which was cute and on point with flavor. As much as I loved the interior and enjoyed the food, each wing is $7.29. The wings aren't necessarily small, nor are they large. For the price, you could probably get triple the amount of chicken somewhere. But if you're interested in trying chicken in a new way, Michi Craft Kitchen is for you.

Among the 4 of us, only one ordered curry rice, the rest of us ordered stuffed wing(s) combo. My friend had her one stuffed wing with avocado slices (one full fruit) and salad. We each had the two stuffed wings combo also with salad. Salad is pleasingly quite a portion. Could choose two different flavours for our wings. We both had the spicy one (stuffed with glutinous rice). For the second wing, my husband had the stuffed cumin lamb meat and I had the cheese and stuffed corn. All were interesting and delicious and same price for one or two wings combo, $15.99. For the drinks that came with the combo sets, we had wanted hot drink (tea/coffee) but were told the sets only came with cold mocktail but the waitress said she would bring up the subject to suggest to management to include hot drinks as well! Good service! In fact only Hong Kong style milk tea is available but not coffee for hot beverages. But heard the bear cold milk tea was very kawaii and popular!

Perfect place to go for HK style comfort food and retro, classic HK style decor. It’s one of the few places downtown that I know of for Hong Kong food. Had the ham and egg soup noodles which was tasty. Love the decor especially the bathroom which has a wall of Stephen Chow movie posters. Took one star off for the server; he didn’t seem to care that we were there ?

Love the aesthetic of this restaurant, and staff was nice. The food was pretty good, but sad the squid ink pasta was sold out. We enjoyed the stuffed wings, and the crispy garlic tiger prawns were bomb. Would pass on the curry balls, it was okay. But definitely will come back to try other dishes!

Cute, cozy little restaurant with quick service and good food. We got the tomato and beef omelette rice which was very comforting and tasty. We also got the squid ink pasta and it was also delicious. The restaurant has a sort of nostalgic vibe which is nice. Would recommend! I probably wouldn’t go out of my way for this place, but if you’re looking for something comforting, warm, and hearty, the tomato and beef omelette is the dish to get!
