Ate here with my daughter. Food was excellent. Staff were friendly. My only real gripe was that, even though it was not too busy, all customers were seated very closely together and as our table was in the middle, people regularly brushing past us(one of the tables had small children and were up and down a bit). I would just speak up about this when being seated next visit if the same thing happened. It was excellent and i would like to explore the menu further

Must visit in Vancouver. It was hard to choose with so many options. And the have a kids Menu, too. The staff is really nice. We had the bao buns (amazing!) and several other dishes to share. Every single one was so tasty. Updated from previous review on 2025-07-19

Friendly staff, 100% vegan menu. They were happy to help us pick menu items with minimal oil. Everything was delicious.

I was really excited to try this place out. The menu looked spectacular and it delivered. Arrived late afternoon in time for happy hour during a weekday. The place was not busy and service was quick. Ordered the Akami Tuna Tostada, Yakitori Chicken, Aburi Lox Oshi, and Tuna Crispy Rice along with some zero proof drinks. Overall presentation was delightful. Small plates that deliver on taste that actually fill you up. My favorite was the Aburi Lox Oshi; it was quite rich and decadent. Nice vibe to the place with some booth seating, tables/chairs, and high table/chairs with lots of light.

Interesting appetizer plates. One was way too salty for me. Nice upscale atmosphere. Be sure to go to Keefer STREET, and not Keefer PLACE, which the Happy Cow directions incorrectly sent us to.

We had katsu bao & okomomiyaki roll with interesting ingredients & creative fusion concept. Both tasted amazing! 🤩 Having said that, please be prepared to pay high prices for a tiny portion of food. This reminds me of Japan, where you feel you seem to always wish to have more food to satisfy your hunger! Updated from previous review on 2025-06-22

Although pricey, it's worth every cent. Delicious food and great service.

We visited during Happy Hour and were blown away by the service and flavours. We had the Katsu Bao, Aburi Lox Oshi (my favourite — just so good), Crab Onigiri, Tuna Crispy Rice (my partner’s favourite), and Yakitori Chicken. It’s a bit on the pricier end but you will not be disappointed. Not only was the food outstanding, the service was incredible. We were given a free drink and our server was charming, noting down other vegan restaurants in Vancouver we should check out during our stay.

Went simple with the curry. No rice. It was very nice.

The sushi was delicious and we very much enjoyed everything we had. Would highly recommend them to anyone that goes to Vancouver.

What's better than driving to Canada for the day, I'll tell you .. driving to Canada to eat vegan food. Ok ok, what's better than driving to Canada to eat vegan food, I'll tell you .. driving to Canada to eat vegan food while meeting new vegan friends! 🙌 We decided to meet up at Mila Plant-Based, 100% vegan restaurant in the downtown area sort of right in-between Downtown Eastside, Science World, and Gastown. The restaurant has a lovely, quaint ambiance, feels very welcoming upon entering. The bathroom was .. well, posh! I don't normally make a point to comment on bathroom decor, while average in size, I felt like I was being upgraded to First Class lol. Ok, moving right along .. lol They have two menus, a Weekend Brunch Menu and, for all other hours, a Lunch/Dinner Menu, ..we ordered from the Weekend Brunch Menu. I had the Bibimbap Bowl - rice bowl with Yo Egg, mushroom bacon, kimchi, tempura yam, cucumber, carrot, gochujang sauce. This bowl had many layers of unique flavors all married perfectly in every exquisite bite, I say this very sincerely! My wife ordered the Pina Colada Pancakes - pancakes, toasted coconut syrup, cashews, cocktail cherries, rum-candied pineapple, mint. Each bite easily lived up to the the decadence displayed in the included image. We absolutely have to find our way back to Mila to try their Lunch/Dinner menu as it includes some amazing sounding options such as, Feta Stuffed Date - date, feta, pistachio, olive oil, maldon salt, ABURI LOX OSHI - carrot lox, aburi sauce, shiso, serrano, 6 pieces, Tuna Crispy Rice - watermelon akami tuna, sushi rice, lime kewpie mayo, green onion, sesame seeds, 3 pieces, and much more. Our servers were super friendly and very attentive. We're planning a trip in the coming "days" and our server happened to be from the same area that we're ultimately heading at that time and was able to provide us with some tips and IG influencers to follow, very cool! We had quite a few options to choose from regarding where to meet for brunch, with every option sounding wonderful in their own way. Ultimately, we decided on Mila because of their unique, fresh and inspiring sounding dishes and yeah, they did not disappoint. Thanks so much for dropping by and reading this review. Do yourself a favor and extend the same courtesy to Mila by ... dropping by .. and enjoying some amazing tasty food. 🙌

Best classy vegan food I’ve had in a long time. Amazing GF options, delicious cocktails, and super friendly & helpful staff. They gave us a list of their top plant-based restaurants in the city.
