Clean and good atmosphere. We walked by and had no idea what to expect. As a meat lover, of course a bit a challange to see the relative small menu. But we found quickly some nice options. We choose the amburi lox oshi (Sushi) and the smashed potatos to share. It was a really unextpected positive surprise. The potatos simple but delicious (unfortunately a bit too much). The Sushi complex, a bit spicy and really worth to try and reorder. The main we had Cacio e pepe and Dan Dan Noodles. Both delicious as well. Unfortunately it was too much and the tastes were after the half of the portion a bit "boring". Don't get us wrong. It was a amazing cooked, fresh incrediences and nothing negative. To eat I just missed a bit the variety of tastes.Maybe for a next time I would order half portion with a side like salad. But a nice place to visit. enjoy

Some of the best vegan food you can have in Vancouver. If you're looking for a fancier, high-end dinner, then make sure you check this restaurant out. It's a nice change from the traditional vegan cafe or pub style food you see at a lot of restaurants. 10/10 would recommendVegetarian options: 100% vegan

My new favourite (vegan) restaurant in Vancouver! I went here for my birthday in February and really enjoyed the gnocchi, peanut butter cup pie, and peach juice. The atmosphere was lovely and the volume of the music was just right--not so loud as to interfere with conversation. I loved the food so much I ended up getting takeout just a few days later.

The food is good! Let me start with this…However, the service we experienced was weird. There’s one male waitress who cleaned up our forks and knives then gave us two pairs of chopsticks to eat fried rice waffles, and yes we are two Asians ?? Then our waitress who served us from the beginning just disappeared. We needed the check, so we just called another waitress. We paid online through the QR code on the check. When we were about the leave, the waitress stepped by our table and asked whether we needed the machine.. She thought we were about to leave without paying! And of course no one checked our online payment. This dining experience was just weird …

MILA's entire menu is plant based. They are operated by the same team as Virtuous Pie, which has a location just around the corner here in Chinatown as well as in Portland (where I am from). The restaurant's atmosphere is lovely - very bright with lots of windows and fun paint colors. Each table had fresh flowers on it, which was a nice touch. There is a mix of table and booth seating, as well as a bar. It was not very busy when I went for a Wednesday lunch. Only one staff member was working, but she was attentive, and things came out in a very reasonable time. It's tough to place a finger on any other theme to MILA's menu besides being plant based, as they have sushi, bao buns, potatoes, salads, hummus and kebab, burgers, pasta, and desserts. We ordered the smashed potatoes to share. We could've used more of the mustard dipping sauce but I didn't ask so maybe they would have provided it. I got the mushroom and sausage tagliatelle. Not sure what kind of mushroom (button or crimini, perhaps) and I believe they use Tomorrow products for their meat replacement. I tried a bite of the watermelon sushi with crispy rice which was tasty. Everything was delicious, very flavorful. I admit I felt a bit of sticker shock at the prices, although I did feel this way at most places in Vancouver, so perhaps it is simply how Canada is. They have a happy hour from 2-5pm daily so perhaps that is a good time to go if you are price conscious. Looks like they host brunches, trivia nights, and wine Wednesdays. And you can book the entire space or the upper lounge for a private event.

AMAZING!! You don't need to like vegan food to enjoy this place. We had the savory waffles and it might have been the best thing I've eaten. The service was amazing (s/o Jacquelyn!) and overall 10/10 would recommend.
