The staff were socializing with each other SO loudly and obnoxiously, basically yelling, completely oblivious to the customers. I went in hoping to work and read in a nice coffee shop atmosphere but I couldn’t focus at all and the atmosphere was NOT it. Seemed kind of dirty also. Had to overhear the staff laughing about their political opinions and personal traumas in such an obnoxious way. Why would I pay $5 for a below average cappuccino in this atmosphere when my home is a way nicer place to be?

I picked up beans here as I often do.
But today, I just had the worst cappuccino here. The espresso tasted like it pulled too quick and when the barista was foaming the milk, the machine was making bad sounds. It ended up being a bubbly mess that didn’t even pour out. My coffee looked like there were bubbles on top and it tasted bad. My other experiences here have been okay but for the price, it’s really unfortunate.

The coffee is a step up from Tim Hortons, the muffins and pastries are stale, day old. Have a good look around, the place is filthy - dirty food prep area, sticky tables and it appears they hand wash the dishes. The miserable Asian lady behind the counter kept running her fingers through her hair and then grabbed the "food" with her unwashed hands. Would not return.

Stopped in on a whim one morning while visiting the city and was pleasantly surprised. The barista was pleasant and pulled a beautiful shot for me. The espresso was well-balanced, strong but not bitter. Enjoyed my coffee and a Morning Glory muffin at one of the tables outside.

Enjoyed the outdoor seating area in front of the shop on a warm summer day. Service is friendly. Coffee (Americano) is smooth with the right level of bitterness. Good coffee temperature as well. Recommend to have the coffee in a ceramic cup (not in a paper cup) as it tastes better.

This is a terrible spot. The staff are rude or incompetent or both and often. not a vibe. lots of entitled regulars with bad vibes as well. blenz is somehow better? Also there’s one dude who’s inexplicably worked there for a while, this cat is somehow rude *everytime* but is marginally self aware enough to apologize for said incredibly rude behaviour. Get a new job you total dbag.

Closest coffee shop to where I was staying. Greeting by staff was a simple “Yes?” which set the tone for the experience. Ordered a Cortado and was asked single or double, first time ever being asked that question as I’ve never seen or heard of a “double Cortado”, so this shop has their own way of accommodating clients needs that is unusual. First few sips were ashy, milk was just a touch over temp to caramelize and gave it a slight seared flavor. I will probably try it again to see if it was just an “off” day.
Bright seating and people watching on the sidewalk. I appreciated just hearing the cityscape as much as the quiet music.
