The classic lamb shoulder has always been my grandma’s favorite at our family gatherings

Awesome greek restaurant with the most authentic food. The food is so good and so delicious that you can’t even imagine what it would surprise you. The owner also generous with giving cheese in all dishes

After reading many positive reviews and a shout out from Deadpool himself - what a complete disappointment. We arrived for dinner around 5pm and I was told I had to sit in the chair closest to the wall (table set for 4, we were a party of 2) in case a big table came in. This was followed by asking if I wanted to keep the napkin?!?
My order: Braised beef rib dinner with salad and baked potato. My tossed salad was soggy lettuce with 2 large gelatinous mounds of dressing (I asked for blue cheese - this tasted like Miracle whip and chunks of cheese) Needless to say, the salad was barely eaten. When the server came to pick up plate - I got the “stink eye” for not eating my salad, no request if there was a problem with it.
When my meal arrived - I was greeted with two large ribs with a dried up spiced ketchup coating 🤢. At least my baked potato was edible.
My husband ordered Moussaka - it arrived dried out and crusted over from sitting too long under a heat lamp. The bechemel sauce - was it even a sauce? Overall the dish lacked flavour expected of a restaurant that boasts Greek cuisine.
The restaurant itself reminded me of dining in a 1970’s slop and stop diner.
Needless to say - this will be a one time dining experience, not to be repeated with a second attempt.

Food was delish. But the pita bread appetizer wasn’t really worth the price since we didn’t know we get bread with the mains, other than that, would recommend this restaurant

Love this place I live in winnipeg I come once a year for a family birthday
Food great here .. tried passing Atlantic lobster off as a rock.. I had to point it out, but they did take off the bill after i said somthing ...meal was still great
Such a Vancouver classic. Excellent food and cocktails.
Ordered pick up. Unfortunately, not great, especially if you’ve had Greek food in Toronto or Montreal. At most average, but prices are absolutely wild. 30+ dollars for a medium sized souvlaki plate with dry chicken. Pita and tzatziki were nice. Ribs were also dry. Halloumi salad was good. Outrageous price, medium quality food, not worth it for take out/pick up.
Best Greek restaurant in Kerrisdale!
Was a delicious place. The service was great, friendly and helpful. The food was great especially the special pizza was a great Greek pizza. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasty. Would recommend at least to try it once

I've always enjoyed dining at Minerva's, and their delivery food was just as good. Lately, the quality of their delivery food seems to be slipping. My pizza was way overcooked last night. And the delivery payment system had tips starting at 20%. I tip well, WELL beyond 20% but don't like feeling coerced into a 20% tip minimum. It just feels shady.
My go to place when I'm in kerisdale.
So many great choices on the menu. We did this latest visit with a large group, so we were able to sample and share many items.
I have to point out that the price point here is high, compared to most Vancouver establishments with a similar menu. But it is located in an upscale neighborhood....and I also noticed that there are at least a dozen bustling employees on shift.
Butter prawns....west coast classic. Large and in charge. You may have to order extra bread to sop up the excess sauce.
Hummus...yum! Perfectly seasoned and garlicy. (but it's a small portion)
Wings... Perfectly prepared. Perhaps one of the most reasonably priced items.
New York Steak....I had the 10 oz. It's obvious that it was a AAA cut. I suspect that they are actually 12 oz. (Also a good value for the price)
Beef Lasagna....My personal favorite. Packed with a generous portion of bubbling cheese and the right amount of sauce. The flavor is incredible to me. I ordered an additional takeout lasagna to enjoy the next day. However, the price is likely the most expensive in the city.
Ribs.... pretty good. Tender and seasoned well.
The garden salad, included with the entree is nice. Fresh greens and olive oil house dressing 👌🏿
They can accommodate small and large groups. I recommend a reservation if dining during the peak hours.
We dined here couple of days ago, ordering moussaka, roasted lamb and hummus. The roasted lamb was great and the hummus was nothing special definitely below average. The Moussaka was the worst thing I have ever had! We barely touched it, it was cold and the amount of nutmeg that was there was unbearable! Definitely skip it if you went there. Waitress was super nice and friendly.
Mouthwatering Greek food and pastas! Highly recommend the roast lamb shoulder. The accompanying lemon potatoes and rice are also delicious. The tzatziki was lacking some dill, but the calamari was fried well!
They were also quite attentive and accommodating to our big group of 12.
Great Restaurant, in business since 1975.
