Have you ever walked into a cafe or restaurant and had the distinct feeling that the staff resents the patrons? The most reluctant baristas I've encountered. The eye rolling, condescension and straight up aggressive rudeness to everyone who had the misfortune of choosing to spend their money on coffee and/or baked goods from this small business. Yikes! Very mean staff. I felt for the elderly couple that took a half a beat longer than the cashier had patience for when placing their order.
With the over saturation of cafes in Vancouver and particularly on commercial drive one would think the management would train the staff or just hire staff that like to be kind.

Stopped by for a chai after grinding at the Lunch Lady next door. Killer vibe for a rainy Saturday. The cashier was friendly, warm, and engaging. She hooked me up with a mega hot Chai latte instead of that luke warm jazz. My son went hammer time on the Pink Pony donut. Plenty of table space to chill, work, or people watch. Top tier!

My espresso was delicious, probably one of the best I’ve had in this city, and I also really loved the banana bread which was a bit spicy and really flavourful!

Hot. Seating was awful. They need some feng shui action.

Ordered an almond milk iced latte. Espresso tasted over poured, very bitter, acidic and acrid tasting espresso. The almond milk tasted watery and it was over $7.00. Never again. I couldn't even finish it.
