The vibes here are great. Our server Roho was super friendly and helpful. Food came out fast. It’s a great place to celebrate a birthday.
Went to Moltaq in Yaletown today after an event, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about it! The food was absolutely amazing—flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. But what truly made the experience unforgettable was the incredible service. Our server, Anna, went above and beyond. She was so patient, kind, and accommodating, even stepping in as our unofficial photographer to help us capture the moment. Honestly, she made us feel so welcome and cared for.
Highly recommend this place—not just for the delicious food but also for the warm and genuine hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!
Excellent food with a large selection to choose from. Staff was knowledgeable, pleasant and attentive. Would highly recommend. Everything was delicious!
I first came in 2020 back when it was at the Gastown location and I’m happy to witness its growth into a Michelin restaurant now at the Yaletown location. Terrific ambience, food and I loved the belly dance show! Well done 👍👍
Had an amazing time.
Great food - amazing atmosphere
Belly dancing felt like being in Morocco.
The best hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Moroccan food in beautiful Yaletown, Vancouver.
The food is absolutely delicious, no to mention the atmosphere is very romantic and historic. Especially with the excellent service.
Our waiter Ryohei is so kind and helpful. With his recommendation, we enjoyed our meal so much, definitely worth to go back for dinner again.
Thank you Ryohei so much for your professional hospitality service!
Great experience! The atmosphere, the food and the host were all amazing! Loved the Seafood tagine!!!
My wife and I celebrated our 45th Wedding Anniversary at Moltaqa. First of all, Anastasia who was our server was fantastic in explaining everything about the food. Her friendly demeanor and enthusiasm showed that she enjoyed what she does. Everything that we ate took us back to our adventure in Morocco. We ordered the Vegetarian sampler plate and chicken pastilla. The freshness and complex spices shone through. And to top off our wonderful experience at the restaurant, Anastasia gave us a small treat and sang us a song to wish us many happy anniversary celebrations to come.
Amazing moroccan food. Full of flavor, and a really exquisite atmosphere inside. Feels like you are being teleported! I highly recommend any of the lamb dishes.

Everything was great but 2 things wr not great 1/your salmon was spoiled, smelled funky. 2/ the beef kofta was wayyyy overcooked tasted like sand texture.
I should have got the lamb but experimented and got bummed.

A lot was left to be desired. My partner arrived on time and had to wait 30 minutes for another couple to finish up with their dinner. The staff seemed tense and overwhelmed. Dishes came in slowly. The restaurant's environment was unexpectedly chaotic and had very resounding music (not dissimilar from a lot of other restaurants in Vancouver, but still notable). My partner and I were forced to sit (via reso) by this very loud stringed instrument-- it was beautiful but I couldn't even eat or hear myself think. There was also a belly dancer. She was nice but again, distracted from the food. That brings me to the food. It was fine, probably on par with some other middle eastern places I'd eaten at before, but it didn't have a wow factor. However the loubia was excellent.

Some of the best food we’ve ever had while living in Vancouver. We can’t wait to go back!! To start we got the Lean Lamb Merguez, and everything about this dish was perfect. The greens were refreshing, the homemade hot sauce was incredible, and the lamb was seasoned to perfection. For our mains we got the Lemon Saffron Lamb Shank and the Cardamom Duck With Figs, Pear And Sesame Tagine both packed with flavour and falling apart to the touch.

My girlfriend and I tried Moltaqa tonight & they did not disappoint! We got the lamb merguez, which was fantastic & the harissa hot sauce was to die for! I got the cardamom duck tagine and she got the lemon & saffron lamb shank. Both dishes were great! Really solid food from the kitchen & excellent atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back!
