By far one of the most unique and interesting food truck courses I have seen to date. Offering the largest selection of yes the world's favorite grilled cheese options I have ever seen all in one place. Whether you're a connoisseur of grilled cheese or just simply enjoy something fast and taste delicious mom truck has a sandwich or should I say grilled cheese for everybody. It cost on average 10 to $20 per person per meal but the portions are huge the atmosphere is always inviting and friendly in the service is excellent

We tried this food truck at the PNE and WOW.. the birria beef grilled cheese was incredible! Hands down the best meal I had at the fair. You’ll definitely catch me chasing this truck all over Vancouver. Can’t wait to have it again!

I visited the Khatsahlano Street Party on July 5, 2025, and ordered a grilled cheese sandwich from Mom’s Grilled Cheese Truck for my kids. The price was already steep at $15.50 for a basic ham and cheese on white toast—especially considering the sandwich was just okay, not nearly as good as I remembered from past visits.
When I got home and checked the emailed receipt, I noticed they had charged both PST and GST, bringing the total to $17.36. Under BC tax law, prepared food like this is not subject to PST, so I was surprised to see an incorrect 7% added to my bill.
I used the feedback link on the receipt to politely inform them of the error. Their initial response? A curt “so sorry.” No acknowledgment of the mistake, and no offer to refund the improper charge. I followed up, respectfully explaining that with rising food costs and inflation, every added fee matters—and that, on principle, customers should not be paying taxes that legally shouldn’t be charged.
Their reply? A rude message stating it was a mistake and that they’d “pay me to never come to their truck again.”
They also claimed they’re a small business—as if that excuses them from doing the right thing. But being a small business doesn’t exempt you from following proper tax practices or treating customers fairly. While the amount in question might seem small, it’s a 7% increase I should never have paid—and if this is happening regularly, many customers could be unknowingly overcharged. They have been in business for several years and not their first day so the their POS system should have been set up correctly from the start (and not be charging PST).
Between the overpriced, underwhelming food, incorrect tax practices, and disrespectful customer service, I will not be returning. I encourage others to check their receipts carefully and think twice about supporting businesses that don’t take accountability for their actions.

I am now enjoying a Ham and grilled cheese sandwich. They were in my complex's parking lot as a promotion with Telus, who were in the lobby. I was their last customer of the day as they had been slammed from 3PM to just after 6PM.
The sandwich was the best thing I have eaten this week. I also humbly asked for a drink and they gave me a tin of Mango Bubbly. Which was nice of them, thanks!

The grilled cheeses come with a quarter pickle slice and Hardbite chips, which is a nice side addition. Tried the So Gouda grilled cheese and the flavour was unique but there wasn’t any cheese pull and it’s lighter on the cheese but this could be the preference for some. The sweet and savoury eggplant jam has a bit of curry flavour which in my opinion didn’t really go with the cheese and caramelized apple but that’s just me. Would try the So Gouda again with the caramelized apple but not the eggplant jam.

I've always liked Mom's Grilled Cheese but I don't find myself near their food trucks often enough.
Came across them at the Shipyards Xmas Market in December and had their Christmas Hammy with Bacon.
I recently visited Mamma's Grilled Cheese Truck and ordered two classic grilled cheese sandwiches for $13 each. The size and flavor of the sandwiches were really good, and the oven-roasted tomato soup was perfect! However, I was disappointed that the chips that came with the grilled cheese were completely stale. I have had them on my saved list of places to try for such a long time. I wish they had a website to show where they will be parked and offering food so I can find them easier next time. Overall, it was a tasty experience, but I hope they can improve on the sides!

Ordered at the winter fair. I ordered 2 classic grilled cheese. There was 3 people in front of me and a total of 5 sandwiches between them…I waited 55 minutes. The two lady’s working just had no desire to be there they were slow and uncoordinated no communication in my opinion had no place in a kitchen. I worked in restaurants most of my life and personally could have pounded those orders out in 10-15 max. Honestly wrecked the night for us the kids were frozen and when we finally got the sandwiches they were sub par at best. There is potential here, a nice simple menu and the potential for fast service. Get rid of the two working tonight, as they were a hot mess, and hire some professionals.
