There was a Canucks game on, and they spent so much time to get it up and running that I didn't realise!

Absolutely the best pub in Downtown Vancouver. Good food, friendly staff and nice ambiance. Beer was also awesome.

Moose’s Down Under Restaurant Review
Moose’s Down Under offers a unique attempt at bringing Australian vibes abroad, but it falls short of capturing an authentic Aussie atmosphere. It could benefit from a little research—or better yet, a trip to Australia—to refine the experience.
The beer selection, while decent, lacks true Aussie classics like XXXX, Tooheys, and VB, which would add authenticity. Similarly, the addition of Villie’s or Garlo’s pies to the menu would be a welcome nod to Australian culinary staples.
Overall, Moose’s has potential, but a stronger commitment to genuine Australian elements would elevate it from “Aussie-inspired” to a real taste of down under.

cheap food, cheap drinks, lots of gluten free options, looks like it's stuck in time, I loved it and would absolutely come back

Love the atmosphere at this place. It's such an unusual space down in the basement, a weirdly shaped dining room, not I like it. Always come for the trivia.
The last two times I've come however, ive noticed their chicken parmies (parmigiana) aren't up to scratch…the breading seems old and slightly stale and falls of the meat when you cut it. This is the only place in town where I can get in touch with my Aussie roots and get a chicken parmy, but when it's not fresh I've unsatisfied and slightly unimpressed.

I've been there a few times. It is a great place to go out with friends, have a couple of beers and dinner. The super parmies are delicious. I've personally tried the outback Jack, the pom, Uncle sam, and the oot and aboot and loved all of them. I've also had the Parmie González but didn't like that one.
