Our order got misplaced, but the staff was so kind to switch it up to the right one, and the foods are amazing as always. 100 out of 10!

Got take out for lunch, and we loved everything! Definitely try the pork & crab rolls! We also had the Bun Cha Hanoi, Grilled Beef La Lot, and Turmeric fish. Ingredients tasted fresh, and flavor was on point.

Delicious noodles and cute folk art style decor!Beef noodle soup had a lot of juicy beef slices and its broth was light but very tasty. Was so good we almost drunk it all!Fish cake soup was also very good with lighter broth with tons of fish cakes. It had a kick of flavour from dill and shallot. Also tried vermicelli with pork belly slices and spring rolls. It was first time I tried anything like that but I liked it a lot! The sauce went very well with the noodle and veggies.I would rate all those noodles 5 stars! I have tried their crepe, wings, and crab spring rolls in the past and rate them 4 stars. All their drinks are excellent, too! 5 stars!

The food is fantastic here! I love their crab spring rolls and village cakes. Not many places seem to have them and they do these two dishes quite well.

This review is 3.5 stars. Food was delicious and I wouldn't mind eating the food again. Alas, the price point was too high and brought my rating down. It was $17.50 for the spring rolls - and a dollar more for the bowl of pho. Understandably, prices will inevitably rise, but $18-$19 for a bowl of noodles prevents future visits.Lovely people and staff. But I think pho is cheaper elsewhere.

OMG ? last time I was on the south side of Hastings and the place was with red decor but almost a hole in the wall. Nevertheless, the food was good and service like you were at home. Now 8 years later, I visit again and cannot believe the gastronomic journey. Flavours through the roof, layers of spices you only get at somewhere on another level. Portions plenty and so was the service. The chef's kiss.Very happy to see this family run place go from humble beginnings to, dare I say, upscale northern Vietnamese cuisine. I will be going back, this time much much sooner than waiting 8 years.

This is my second time coming, after a long time. I decided to order the bun bo hue as I was craving something warm and flavourful for the cold November weather. The dish was decent! I had asked for less spice, but realize I could have done with more, so I added my own sate. I was missing the purple cabbage that usually comes on the side, as the bean sprouts and mint leaves are more for other noodle soup dishes like pho. I found the flavour to be lacking and I wanted more rich lemongrass flavour. The amount of meat given was nice! I didn't care for the large chunks of green onion stalks though. Overall, it was an alright dish. I much prefer the bun bo hue at Cafe Xu Hue on Victoria Drive. I'd come back to eat something else though. Service was attentive and friendly! Tea was constantly topped up and staff was always smiling.

Great food! I'd say one of the top Vietnamese places around, you will be surprised how good it is! They put their heart and soul into the food they serve! The crab spring roll is amazing and special to Me.Red, so it's suggested you try that with your Pho, which is delicious.Their vermicelli is pretty good as well. They have home made chili oil which is the icing on the cake; pho isn't complete without that. I know other restaurants without it, and it leaves flavour to be desired in any Vietnamese dish.Atmosphere is representative of a more upscale restaurant than a standard run of the mill place.Service is friendly and useful (they refill your tea frequently); they also serve Pandan tea, which is rare, and has a very pleasant aroma. They also sell it here, so buy a bag or two and enjoy at home!I highly recommend Mr.Red!

Been quite a number of years since I last had a meal here. On this visit, we ordered the Bun Tron Mr. Red (vermicelli bowl with pork and crab spring roll and grilled pork belly). That crispy spring roll is really good. Also had their Canh Ga Tam Bot (deep-fried chicken wings). Nice crispy exterior encasing juicy chicken meat.
