A great authentic Asian cuisine place in Vancouver. I highly recommend the sour soup with fish to eat with steamed rice. The signature Singapore chilli crab in my opinion is not as spicy as I expected. Next time, I will ask the servers who take my orders to make it spicier. Overall, great experience! 👍

Mui Ngo Gai is a fantastic spot for authentic Southeast Asian flavors! The interior is fancy and nice. Resto is well lit and cozy. The Singaporean Chili Crab is the star — rich, spicy, and perfect. The Salted Egg Yolk Crab is creamy and indulgent, while the Vietnamese Pancake is crispy and full of flavor. Loved the Lala Sambal for its heat, and the Chicken Wings were crispy and juicy. Pineapple Fried Rice and Spring Rolls rounded out the meal perfectly. Great portions, bold flavors, and consistent quality — highly recommend!

I really want to like the restaurant because the food is great and the server is nice but I can't help to feel misled.
We came during dinner to try the Sinagporean Laksa and Vietnamese desserts but they're sold out. Somehow we got upsold to order 2 crabs. It was a great deal of buy one get 2nd for $20 but we don't even like crabs. It ended up being a lot more expensive that what we anticipated.
The server gave us a $20 off coupon so we came back for lunch, this time the Laksa and desserts are still not available. We got the Banh Xeo and Beef Hor Fun. Both were amazing but still not what we wanted.

Went for lunch specials, food was not good and there was no service at all. I think the cooks made the food in large quantities, scooped up then put together when ordered. The manager wore a bra top which was very unprofessional. Definitely not a good place to eat.

Best food we have had! Great experienced. Server was amazing. The food is to die for. Try the chile crab and garlic butter crab. 5 stars is not enough. Will definitely come back.

I ordered the standard pho dac biet and it was subpar. Sad to say the food quality has gone down. $19 for 2 pcs of quarter cut beef balls and few pcs of rare thin slices of beef with mostly noodles in a a smaller serving of soup that had a very overpowering cinnamon smell.

We got the Signature Singapore chilli crab which they use a Dungeness crab instead of the mud crab. The sauce was excellent but the crab was very small, we manage to get 30 percent off the dish. If we had to pay the full price it wouldn't be worth it.

We were craving some Southeast Asian flavors and came across this unique spot on Kingsway, offering a mix of Vietnamese and Singaporean dishes. We had no expectations going in, but were pleasantly surprised the moment we walked through the door. The décor was inviting, and the staff dressed in cultural uniforms added a classy touch, almost like finding a little roadside paradise in the middle of Kingsway.
We started with a refreshing peach iced tea and a mango salad that was absolutely delicious. Next came the pineapple fried rice, beautifully served inside half a pineapple. The rice was loaded with seafood and bursting with flavour, definitely a highlight. We finished with a whole fried tilapia. It was meaty, perfectly crispy, and the tamarind sauce was incredible. I had been craving a whole fried fish for a long time, and this dish hit the spot.
The meal came to about $100 for the two of us. While not cheap, the portions were generous enough to easily feed three so we felt it was good value.
If you’re looking for authentic-tasting Southeast Asian dishes that go beyond the usual options in Vancouver, this place is definitely worth a visit.

The food was decent and the service was friendly. I really liked the décor, especially the cool paintings that gave the place a nice vibe. I visited during lunchtime, and it was quite busy. The wait time was a bit long—we received our first dish after about 20 minutes and the second about 10 minutes later. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but timing could be improved so everyone at the table can eat together.
