Wanted to try this restaurant out for a while as I drive by it all the time. Turns out I let myself down and held high expectations. I do like the fusion of two cultures and the food tasted fine but nothing extradorinaiy. The portions are unbelievably small, they trick you with the big plates. I ordered the beef stew and it came with 3 pieces of meat and a load of bread… for a dish like that I’m expecting a hearty and filling dish. The price of It does not even reflect the amount you get in return. You’re better off going to a mom and pop restaurant on kingsway

I went there few months ago and it over priced. Atmosphere is good decorative but food is mediocre. Chilli crab dish comes with can crabs for $100 and not that good at all. Service too slow and I have to wait for my food for 40 minutes and I got my drink when I finished whole meal. Cake tastes like 3 days ++ old.

The atmosphere is great, the service is fine but they do not seem to understand English until we explain ourselves multiple times with multiple servers.

The food was horrible. For the price you pay it does not meet our standards. Not only that, the noodle soup they serve tastes like soap or detergent and it is worser than eating at a 12.00 pho noodle house. Not worth your money! We asked them for another bowl and it still taste the same.

Also for the menu, it seems that we are reading like a novel, as menu should be full of selection whereas their menu has one item per page and it is 30 pages plus long. Be prepared to sit and read thru the "book" for at least 15 Minutes before ordering.

DO NOT RECOMMEND AND DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Do not pass GO and hang on to your $200...

Unfortunately the food/price ratio does not meet or come up to the level of the recent renovation/decor and the friendly service of the restaurant. They should pare down the menu and work on the food to ensure that both presentation, food portion, and wok flavour match the menu pictures and expectations created upon entering the restaurant. The staff although friendly and courteous, are not asking how we are enjoying the food - which makes me suspect that they might not want to get honest feedback.

First time to the establishment and was impressed with the decor, vibe, and general atmosphere in the restaurant. Was looking forward to dinner as the menu selection and the menu pictures looked amazing.

Asked our server for some of their most popular and best dishes so we decided to go with the rare beef salad, fried chicken wings, tiger prawn in chilli crab sauce, frog legs with ginger and spring onions, and seafood mee goreng, and pineapple fried rice.

We were given an extensive dessert and drink menu that looked very impressive but upon ordering was disappointed to find out that only the teh tarik was available for the evening (this should have been explained right away upon seating). It also should be noted that the majority of the drinks averaged $10 -$13 which is quite high, in my opinion.

The fried chicken wings and the pineapple fried rice were the best items for me that evening. The rare beef salad could have been sliced thinner and to have less of that chewy texture, but was not bad as well. The frog legs were served in the bottom of a dark clay pot with little ginger and scallion flavour (it is pictured in the menu served in a clay pot but the food propped up to the top by a dish making look full and but light). What we received was frog legs braised in a thickened dark soy sauce with ginger and spring onions added in the end to give colour. The tiger prawn in chilli crab sauce was the most disappointing as we only got about 6 - 7 pieces of shrimp and assembled with the chilli crab sauce on top. The mee goreng was small for the price and was spicier for my taste.

Overall, some of their dishes are okay to good but nothing outstanding like the initial impressions upon entering the restaurant and the pictures on the menu.

Decided to give this place a try for my Dad’s birthday. While Vancouver has a great asian food scene - options for Singaporean/Malaysian cuisine is definitely more limited so my family was excited to try a new place. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

It seems they’ve spent way too much time and energy on their decor and creating an extremely extensive (and confusing) menu, rather than focusing on what is most important - the food.

We ordered a range of dishes, starting off with the raw beef carpaccio and chicken wings (not bad, but nothing amazing). But from here things really started going downhill.. portions were laughable, especially for the price. After 6 dishes (2 appies, 2 meats, and 2 carbs) for 5 people we were all still hungry - we also attempted to order drinks & desserts several times and found almost everything was unavailable. Several food items we ordered were recommended by the waiter as well, and were extremely disappointing.

Standout worst dishes - Tiger Prawns with Chili Crab Sauce (looked nothing like the photos, was not true to the ‘Chili Crab Sauce’ and only 6 prawns were given for almost $40 - prawns were not fresh and tasted muddy) & the Frog Legs in Ginger Scallion Sauce (after opening the pot, my brother asked if they forgot to put the food inside .. that alone says enough I think).

Save your money.

New ownership/management has put this popular pho restaurant to the ground.

Prior to the renovation, this place was our go-to restaurant for a no thrill but elevated bowl of pho and other staple Vietnamese dishes.

Don’t get me wrong, the new renovation looks great but it just feels off for the area and cuisine. For instance, it is excessive to use a knock-off staub pot for pho or velour benches for the seats.

We revisited this week and their menu was the size of a book! We forgot what they offered after flipping through all the pages. Not sure who thought it was a great idea to add a wall of text on each page to describe each dish.

The worst thing is the food quality. It has really gone downhill. The price is now much higher than before and the food looks nothing like the menu photos. Their Singaporean dishes were bad and the portions as others have noted are laughable.

Clearly the new owner has money to throw at this place with the new decor and kitchen gear. They should hire a consultant to really turn things back around.

Horrible, I waited 40 minutes for my order on doordash only for them to cancel most of the order as they were out of the items. You could have literally done that right away instead of doing that RIGHT BEFORE THE COURIER WAS ABOUT TO PICK IT UP. you know what you did. Don't do this stuff to people, have some respect.

Friend recommended I try this restaurant and it was a pleasant surprise. Restaurant was very nice, staff service was excellent. Chilli crab is a must try.

Prices are higher, but worth the dining experience..

A unique take on a Vietnamese/Singaporean fusion with a must-try on their award-winning chili crab. My spice tolerance is quite high, but there is still just enough kick to not overwhelm the flavours in the sauce.

Only good thing about this restaurant was atmosphere. Food was mediocre, pricey and portion was criminally small. I mean if they want to charge us $5 for small bowl of steam rice, at least fill it up, or $25 for fried rice, don't cheap out on portion. It costs so little to make those dishes.
Service was horrible. We had fish dish as well as crab dish and they never changed plate and crab shells/fish bones were piling up to the point that it was hard to eat. Crab meat was mushy indicating that they used dead crab. They did finally clean up.. after when we were done eating. Unfortunately bus person was careless and made mess on our table spilling leftovers all over table. whatever.. we're done eating anyway.. unfortunately, as he tried to clean up the table, he further create mess and even dropped food on my pants as well. He just wiped food off my pants, leaving some stains but did apologize so I let it go. When we asked for bills , we had to wait 20 minutes and had to ask again and again five times before waitress finally came over with our bill. She didn't even smile.
Food was not good, nor was it authentic dishes.. they attempt to be fusion Singapore style and Vietnamese but ended up being mediocre dishes that was neither Singaporean nor Vietnamese. All drinks even simple tea or coffee was $10-12 minimum.
Overpriced, lack of service, ridiculous portion, I don't think this place will last long..
