Nice place. Decent food. Would visit againUpdate: I had originally given this place four stars but after seeing the way the owners and management really backup their staff when it comes to rude reviews and comments my respect for this place has doubled. It’s very rare to see restaurants take a stand for their servers like that. Definitely would recommend and visit again !! Great going ??

I picked up food to go, three items out of four were unconsumable. They were stinking like there was a dead fish. I called the restaurant and the person I spoke to told me I was lying about the food and everyone’s taste is different. There is a difference in taste and difference in food being stale and stinking. However, the person refused to refund, or even believe me. They said I can call the manager on Tuesday. But after having heard the rude response from her I don’t expect this restaurant taking ownership of their mistake. This is extremely pathetic they gave me unconsumable items. What a pity and shame. My sister is an IIM grad and she told me another IIM alumni owns this restaurant. What a great way to bring shame to your company by not only serving stale food, but also not taking ownership and mistreating your customers. There are better places out there, save your time and money for others who deserve it!

Portion size could be better. Samosa chaat has only 1 samosa which is not worth $12. Otherwise it was good. I would give it another try sometime.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner the other night. I ordered the pau bhaji which was great and he ordered chicken curry and rice. We also ordered vada pav for starters which was delicious. I've been here twice before and I love the atmosphere. The street food selection is wonderful, maybe a little pricey but I think that's subjective. I will be back for sure.

Amazing flavours and perfect service. Seems like a well kept secret as the place was really quiet.

I dont know who rated this as the best Maharashtrian place to eat but I am a Maharashtrian living my 28years in Mumbai but the taste of the chaat platter and misal were not at all what it tastes. The vada pav was still better but still not the authentic taste. The rasmalai was also wattery but still better than the other things we tried.Had visited to try for ghavane and kombdi wade but that was not there. Overall totally disappointed by the taste.

We had the chaat sampler. The gol gappa pani had a weird taste and so we didn't like it so much that we left it. We were coming from Seattle so was really looking for good indian food. Even the drink we ordered , Adrak cocktail wasn't good enough.

Located in Vancouver, BC's West End, on Davie Street. I Went here two nights ago, and had their food for my last meal in Vancouver, and it was very filling! (You get good portions) The flavours were balanced, authentic spices and fresh ingredients, and the presentations/plating were well done, and the dishes were made Vegan for me without losing any flavour or texture. My servers were extremely helpful with accommodations outside of the food adaptations, particularly when helping with navigating access to the washroom. I will say though, as a manual wheelchair user, I would recommend calling ahead and letting them know you will be arriving, I went and noticed that their accessibility button for the automatic door wasn't working, so for those who can't open heavy doors, or who are electric wheelchair users, be for warned. This being said, the staff was more than happy to assist me when these technical issues arose, and I told them about the electronic switch not working, so hopefully they fix it promptly. (As my server thanked me for letting them know, and would get it taken care of)The washroom is only more easily navigable on a smaller width manual wheelchair, other wheeled mobility devices will likely not be able to fit in the washroom. If these facilities are vital for you to enjoy their food, I would recommend that you order take out/to go or delivery. (So that you can still enjoy their delicious food!)(The building's decor is nice inside, and has a sit down table seating setup, and street artwork on the walls, but is not modern in itself, so making the space fully accessible to all mobility devices is not possible with regard to the washroom, but I assure you, the staff will do everything they can to make your experience great, and help you)I love Indian cuisine, and I have had authentic, homemade dishes from my Indian friends, as such, I can attest that these dishes are true to the region of India that this establishment provides! (Mumbai)It was an all around fantastic experience, and I will definitely be coming back again the next time I am in the Neighbourhood! (West End/Davie Village/Davie Street)

Vegetarian options: They have quite a few dishes that are Vegetarian, and quite a few that are Vegetarian that can be made Vegan, as well as Purely Vegan dishes.

Dietary restrictions: They offer both Vegetarian and Vegan options, and Gluten Free options.

Wheelchair accessibility: Their front entrance does have an automatic swith to open the door, I would call ahead to make sure that it is working though, because it wasn't when I visited.

Not your usual Indian restaurant, with mural art showing real Bombay railways. The servers are cheerful & on-the-ball, the dishes are varied and consistently tasty, and the local draft beer competitively priced (go for the pitchers). Not to mention the delicious ras malai! A wonderfully pleasant evening altogether.

The best Indian food I've had in a long while. Tried a wide variety of dishes. Service was good and our table which we reserved was ready when the group arrived.

Went for a late lunch here. Was hoping to get the kombdi vade which is a regional specialty of konkan maharashtra but was disappointed that they were out of those. Nevertheless the menu seemed very promising.Got the vada pav which was pretty great. Very close to the authentic version. Dahi puri was amazing but the prawns rava fry was underwhelming. Service seemed slow due to understaffing but waitress was very courteous . Good experience overall

Awesome Mumbai food, they have fulfilled my wish to eat Mumbai’s fast food. I tried vada-pav, misal-pav and Mumbai style toasted sandwiches, all of them were good. They have tried best to match the original taste and made it close enough. Must visit place, if you are from Mumbai or Pune and staying in Vancouver for long time.

We recently visited Mumbai Local in Vancouver and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was inviting. We especially enjoyed the spicy vada pav, shrimp rava fry and the finger licking chicken lollipops. The mutton kolhapuri was perfectly cooked and the flavors were amazing. The pics don’t do justice so do give it a try!!The staff was friendly and attentive, and they made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. The restaurant was clean and well-decorated, and the music was pleasant.Overall, we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great Indian meal in Vancouver.I hope this helps!
