Great location, Decent ice cream, but the fact that they don't let you sample the flavors doesn't make sense.
The server was so kind and accommodating for checking the ingredients on the Gelato until we found flavors for my family to enjoy. It was busy in the Cafe but they took the time to check each tub. Mango sorbetto and the vanilla Gelato are free of artificial food colouring!

A staple in the Granville Island community. I work on the island and frequent here near daily, as do many of the local artisans and staff.
If you’re here to tour and sightsee, you’ll find the cafe perched along a beautiful pond-side view. Indoor and outdoor seats are convenient and comfy. On especially sunny days, the cheerfulness of the cafe and the neighbouring Children’s Market is enlivening, and that’s even before you get your caffeine!
The cafe sells drinks and food, and welcome family treats like ice-cream and cotton candy. Food variety is wide and quality is plenty satisfying (pastries and sandwiches are freshly prepared). Drinks are smooth and full of flavour, with the caffeine kick you need to wander the winding island pathways. Price is fair to the times; always good value for the money! Most importantly, pairing a drink with food doesn’t feel like sacrificing some down payment.
Staff are friendly and cheerful, and obviously close with each other. It adds to the community spirit, if anything. I love chatting with them, as do many other Island regulars. It can get quite busy during weekends, but a close team means an effective team during rushes, which is what truly matters (speaking as an ex-barista).
In short: I love this place!; Go give it a visit.
Viva M.I.C!!! ☕️💫

This coffee shop has the most wonderful roasted coffee that I have had in Canada

Good coffee, nice atmosphere.
Overpriced smootie made with concentrated juice and lots of ice. I would suggest you change the name to slushi rather than call it smoothie. The portion size was too small for the $8.50c price tag. Moreover, the strawberry smoothie tasted nasty, ended up throwing it in garbage. There are better stores in Granville Island that make better smoothies with fresh fruits. Stay out of this place.
Nice spot in a great location by the water.
I tried the salmon croissant — the pastry itself was really good: light, flaky and fresh. The sauce, though, was a bit too much and had an unusual taste
There’s a playground nearby that’s full of kids — lively, and adds some atmosphere. The small decorative door at the entrance is a cute touch, felt like it was made for me.
Good coffee n could charge my phone👍🏻
I went here with my 2 kids to get ice cream and paid $16 and tip of 15% for 3 ice creams, after I had already paid i asked server could I try a taste of 1 of the ice cream flavors so I could decide between 1 of the 2 flavors i wanted but they said no they do let let you try the flavors even after paying for 3.
I live near this place and my family and i have been the several times this year for coffee and ice cream and after that poor service we Won't be back there again.
The coffee is good but the loud chatter more then costumers of the staff among themselves is very disturbing.
