This has been in my saved folder for a while. I hadn’t ventured downtown let alone Gastown in a spell so when I found myself down there, I decided to try it out. I’m glad I did.
You walk in and order food then they place you at a table. I like this system as they don’t have to worry about having people camp a spot or a take up a lot of space which I find happens at coffee shops and the likes. It was still full but I was found a spot and waited for my items.
The Hot Cocoa is actually hot cocoa so if you’re expecting the sweet packet stuff, you won’t find it. It’s still quite good and I recommend it if you’re not a coffee fan or need to just cut down caffeine like I do.
The Mortadella Supreme is definitely worth the hype and trend. The croissant was light but still crispy and the mortadella was well cooked. Crispy with a good bite. The cheese is gooey and adds a good saltiness for the sandwich. The egg is perfectly over medium so the right amount of jammy for a sandwich. No worry about it overflowing everywhere but still a good messy.

I’m so excited to rave about this place! I got a cookie the size of my face for about $4. I also got the bodega sando w avocado and it was so good. Esp when I dunked it in their hot sauce which seemed house-made. Also got their buttered rum latte and it was delicious!All their staff seemed dedicated to little details, adjusting empty chairs to just the right angle, ensuring all patrons have a comfortable place to sit and provide attentive service. Would absolutely recommend. Note - this was a very expensive breakfast so I’m happy to splurge as a treat but this wouldn’t be my everyday spot.

Been seeing this place in people's reviews, especially their Mortadella Sandwich. To be honest, it tastes so so good. Love the taste and the crunchy side of this.
But I can't say the same for the coffee. The coffee temp is waaaay too hot so we only taste bitter. Service was just questionable but when we told them the coffee's too hot, they just shrugged and walked off. Same goes with the pour over, it's over-heat.
I would come back just for the sandwich, not the coffee though.
