Social media got me checking this place out. Ordered the mortadella. It’s exactly what you might imagine - crispy/buttery croissant shell, ham, cheese, runny egg. Comes out to $15.00 with tip. Tried once, no need to retry.

In Gastown, "Nemesis Coffee Gastown" is highly recommended for its cozy atmosphere, delicious cappuccinos, and scrumptious avocado toast. They also offer a selection of delectable pastries to complete your brunch experience. Enjoy!
Great coffee and pastries. Espresso bean is on a dark side as far as I’m concerned, but still passable. Nice decaf Ethiopian bean. Anyways, the coffee is tasty - liked the pour overs, and heard good things about the Indian batch brew.

Food is really good, however the service is extremely slow and poor. The guy at the reception was nice but when I went to tell him my drinks were cold, he was too busy getting with all the other workers. As I waited for my breakfast sandwich which was taking unusually long (it wasn’t busy and they had a lot of staff for the service to be that snow), I asked another guy if he can check on my food and why it was taking so long. And he told me “no, I can’t do that”. Which I found a very strange thing to say. I will not be going back because of how rude he was, also my drinks were cold and he just stared at me when I told him. I don’t recommend this place, even for take out.

I was extremely disappointed in the coffee temperature and customer service that I experienced at Nemesis Gastown. The batch brew served from the coffee dispenser was cold. Five minutes into my sit-down experience, I was approached by a barista and was rudely asked to give up my table to another customer who wanted to dine in. I will not be recommending Nemesis Gastown to my family and friends.

It just hard to find such a comfort caffe in downtown. The waiters are very passionate about their food and coffee. And they truly should be, it may just be one of the best caffe downtown.
How can French toast be this good??!?!Amazing coffee, service is so sweet, and the French toast is ungodly. 100/10

The food was pretty good and the ambience was great! However, I went there primarily to do work only to find out they have no wifi? That sucked :/

We enjoyed the avocado toast and the matcha ube latte. The latte had a complex flavor that wasn’t too strongly matcha-flavored and was very unique. Nice atmosphere in the cafe, though we had to wait a few minutes to get a table.
