WARNING!!! Ok I want to report this restaurant and it’s poor service and it was only two of us dining here. And they automatically charged us an 18% tip which I really feel is wrong. If you’ve had this happen, I would report them to bbb and revenue Canada because I doubt they are paying for tax on this plus if you pay by card the tip is calculated on the gross which means their gross plus tip plus tax . Check for this. Consumers need to fight back against this dependency on tips for profit or when they don’t deserve a tip but hold you hostage. This also happened to another couple friend of mine and when we got together and talked about it we found out it was the same place everyone was complaining about this. So be warned and report them to revenue Canada and tell everyone that they are doing this practice for what seems like for all customers. Especially tourists. #touristtrap #chargingtip18% #badservice

If I could give zero stars, I would. We ordered at 7pm and got a confirmation for delivery at 8pm. By 8:30pm I had called for half n hour repeatedly only to get a busy tone the entire time. By 8:45pm we rushed down to the hotel restaurant before they closed with very hungry kids. To say we were disappointed would be a total understatement. They didn't even call or email and the food never came.

Probably the worst Chinese food I’ve had in Vancouver. Ordered sweet & sour pork which is my litmus test for Cantonese food… very few places make a good one. This one was beyond awful. The pork was so tough it was inedible and they should’ve called it sweet & sour onions because that’s most of what was in the container. There were two pieces of pineapple and a few pieces of green pepper… the rest was rock hard pork and probably two large onions, quartered and barely cooked. The mushroom and veggie crispy noodles were edible… but very salty - seemed to be a lot of MSG. Won’t be ordering from them again.

Went there tonight (Saturday night at 7:30)and there was one server for the entire restaurant. Service was really bad, took 10 min to sit down and another 10 min for the waitress to come back to take the order. The restaurant had a lot of empty tables at that time, just not cleaned up from previous customers. Food were so so, and the worst was a forced 15% gratuity. I was going to do at least 12% anyway, but really not a good feeling to be forced without a sign up front. I have decided never go back again.

Maybe because I ordered gluten-free, my bowl was very disappointing, with no soy sauce. Just MG mushrooms, bland tofu, a couple carrots and watered Bok Choy on lots of white rice. Hopefully their other options are better for people without dietary restrictions, because the service was nice. The bowl size was 2-3 portions so that helped with a price above 20$ which feels it's because of the area.

I wanted to say some nice things about this place cuz my previous experience at richmond location was amazing. I was surprised by the food quality, the meat is a little bit undone and hard to chew. It's quite disappointed consider the price and the "default" tips on our checks too. Would avoid this location in future.

Nope. What a waste of money. Save you dollars and go elsewhere. Only table there at first and food took half an hour. We had to go ask for it actually. The food all came out at different times, we had to remind her of the dumplings. She said they took time to steam..i said it has been half an hour. I ordered a pork dish later after the first items eventually came out. That came out in 5 minutes. Funny how that works. I left no tip, as it was terrible service, the worst in a long time. She said we forgot to tip. No dear, you forgot to give service. Ps both people you served are long time servers. I haven't given zero tip in 14 years. I will even pity tip when it is bad service but it obvious the server is struggling or under staffed etc. But no apology no check back and just plain rude over all. No wonder it was empty on a Friday summer night at 7. Prime dinner hour everywhere. The food was as basic chinese blah you could order which could be over looked, but the service was epically bad.

Solid 3. I'm not sure why one of their locations received a Michelin star. There is absolutely no shame in being a solid 3. If you're in the mood for Chinese food, depending on the dish, you can expect reasonably tasty food here. Most dishes are food court quality but consistent. Service: Don't expect anything fancy. I don't need anything extra so I have no complaints here. Chinese culture is a bit like the Russian culture. No BS; just get things done. This is perfectly fine with me but perhaps more abrasive than people are accustomed to. It's never personal but I can see why people who want to be coddled need filler niceties. Price: It's on the higher side for what it is but there are no competitors within walking distance. I believe in capitalism so the market decides. No complaints here.

The bathroom was extremely dirty and bugs. The food was reheated chicken and steamed dumplings full of water. Do not eat here.

The quality and price of food is above average. We really like the service there. It was raining outside and when we sat down, the waitress greeted us and gave us hot tea and said "It was cold outside, have some warm tea". The waitress also told us we already ordered enough food. Overall this is a better restaurant than Kirin Restaurant (poor food quality and service) which is 50 meters away from this one. If you happened to make decision between those two, go for Neptune Chinese Kitchen.
