Service was great from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Food was delicious, duck Carpaccio is something that we don't see often on the menu anywhere so we had to try it. It did not disappoint! Yakiudon & Soup Udons are must have! Will come back again!

Everything was really delicious and the service was great. However, the entire restaurant was very smoky—you could actually see the smoke in the air. Our eyes started to feel uncomfortable halfway through, and we had to wash all our clothes afterward. I hope they can address this issue soon as this is one of my favorite restaurants, and I'd love to go again if the issue is addressed.

Food is always decent. A bit disappointed with the Kamameshi. But food from the regular menu was good as usual.

Went with my bestie for dinner and had a great experience! Food and cocktails were amazing!

Been here 3 times now, this time to try the special kamameshi while celebrating a birthday. Not as impressed with the kamameshi as with their other menu items — too much rice and not truly “clay” pots. Nevertheless still fantastic experience overall and service was impeccable. Appreciated the complimentary birthday dessert!

This spot captures an authentic Japanese ambiance from the moment you walk in. The staff are exceptionally polite and attentive, contributing to a genuinely welcoming experience. Every dish highlights balanced, umami-rich flavors that feel both refined and comforting. The sushi is impressively fresh, and the drinks menu offers creative, well-crafted options that pair beautifully with the food. With comfortable seating and a serene atmosphere, it's an excellent choice for anyone seeking a true taste of Japan.

Great spot to celebrate an anniversary - from the diverse menu with many tasty items (standouts included the chilli rose carbonara yakiudon and salmon kimchi battera), to the drink selection, to the top notch service, the very eclectic and hip ambiance, and finally to the kind free anniversary dessert given. We will definitely go back!

Glad to have this new place to enjoy some unique and tasty japanese cusine in Vancouver. We went for my fiancé's birthday and the staff was very welcoming, friendly and attentive. The food was delicious although we wish the portions were a bit bigger but what can you do. Loved the vibe of the place. We have just visited Japan recently and we were missing it, but once we stepped foot at New Fuji it felt like we had flown back to Tokyo for the night. Would recommend!

Such an amazing experience! The food was so bomb (especially the truffle corn karaage). My partner and I went for our anniversary and they even surprised us with a little dessert at the end of the dinner and took some pictures of us 😭 The service was so great and everyone was so sweet! Will definitely be visiting again!

Amazing service. Greater on entry and all staff constantly check to see if we needed anything while seated. Food and drink was perfect. A bit pricy but it is understandable

Lunch set is very good value. The sushi was fresh and tasty. The variety was also great as you get sushi, udon, karaage and a salad! Would come back again!

I have been to New Fuji in the past (March 2024) and it was a wonderful experience! I had a special occasion to celebrate and thought it would nice to come back to New Fuji again. The experience was not as good as it previously was. For starters, the menu was pretty stagnant. There may have been some specials going on, but there was no specials menu and the wait staff did not notify my party of any specials. When I last dined at New Fuji, the Uni Cream Udon was the star of the show. It was rich and full of umami flavour. It actually had me lifting the giant bowl and finishing every drop of the cream soup. This time, however, the soup felt watered down. It wasn't as rich and flavourful as it used to be. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't as special as it used to be. Additionally, my party got the Tomato and Cream Yakiudon. The best way to describe this dish was average. There was a tomato cream sauce, but it lacked any tomato flavour. It was completely overpowered by the cream, which made it taste nearly identical to the Uni Cream Udon but with tomatoes in it. While the food was still delicious, it just lacked the flavour that made it special the first time I came here. To top it off, the service was lacking. The wait staff seemed to ignore my table. They dropped off a dessert menu and waited 20 minutes to check-in with us, meaning our dessert came a while after we finished eating our entrees. Meanwhile, the table next to us got their entrees, desserts, and bill before my party, despite arriving after. On top of that, the wait staff automatically split the bill among my party members without asking. We were planning on paying all together. It seems like there was little attention to the quality of our service during this meal, which is a real shame. The service used to be superb, which is another reason why I chose to return here. While New Fuji is still a good option, it has definitely lost the spark it used to have.
