Been here three times now and the food is so good. Vegan options/dishes that can be made vegan are clearly labelled, the staff are always so sweet and polite, and they even gave us some little cheesecake bites to celebrate their 9th birthday a few weeks ago 💘 my friend and I have told them that we are officially now regulars😄
This place has the best chicken sandwiches

We’ve come here many times and always enjoyed it — but we had a rough night at Ongba. I came with my partner and daughter hoping for a nice dinner together, but the experience was disappointing from start to finish.
First, we had to send the tea back because it was cold. Not a big deal. Then my daughter’s salad rolls arrived without vermicelli — again, not huge, but still disappointing. After waiting a solid amount of time, my daughter’s and partner’s meals finally came. I assumed mine was right behind — but it never showed up. I sat there watching my family eat and eventually finish while my plate never arrived.
Another waiter had dropped off the first dishes, and we didn’t see a server in the outside dinning space for over 20 minutes. I finally went inside, but they ignored me, assuming I was asking for the bill. When our waitress came outside to serve other tables, I had to go up to her to get her attention and explain my food hadn’t arrived. She was genuinely surprised, apologized, and said “sorry, it’s busy tonight.”
For what it’s worth, the waitress was nice, but being busy isn’t an excuse for forgetting an order completely or serving incomplete dishes. To make matters worse, their “solution” was offering a measly 15% off the bill. That ended up being a measly ~$4 off. An insulting discount on top of a ruined night.
Mistakes happen, but how a restaurant handles them matters. We’ve been loyal patrons, but after this, it’s probably time to try one of the many other Vietnamese places down the street.
The fried mushrooms is the best!

I love this place! I heard about it recently from a family member and decided to try it. So far we have had the lemongrass chicken, the lemongrass tofu, the vegan coconut curry dish and the salad rolls with tofu and avocado, and peanut sauce.
The food is fantastic! Really delicious and the staff are all super friendly and nice. When I asked for extra chili oil with crushed chilies, they sent me two containers of it with our order with no charge.
This place is great and will become one of our regular places to order from eat in at. I had lunch in the restaurant the other day and the service was great.
I really like the fact that I don't have to pay a delivery charge to an app. These guys do their own deliveries And of course I'm happy to tip but I don't really want to pay a delivery fee plus a tip.
Excellent restaurant!

This is one of my favourite places to eat when I'm back in vancouver. Try the deep fried enoki mushroom - its crazy! Partner and I just split a banh mi and pho together and its great.
For those who want macros, here is my estimate:
Vegan Pho - 712kcal - 24g P/ 102g C/ 10g F
Lemongrass Tofu Bánh Mì - 642kcal - 19g P / 86g C / 33g F

Just order the noodle soup which was recomended me by waiters, she said it takes a few time to cook. Ok. I will order green ice tea. After waitin 25 minutes, and have seen yhay all around me have got yheor orders, i asked - where is my soup?
Amswer: i did not order soup.
Minus 25 minutes after advertising of master's special soup - it was cruel.
The green tea was perfect.
If you want authentic Vietnamese food, this is not the place to go. The broth in pho dac biet was basically just beef stock, no other flavours or depth. The bun bo hue had no heat and no spice. Both broths were very flat. Very disappointing for its overpriced noodle soups.
