The Hostess was very pleasant and greeted us with a smile. Then a gentle man seated us to a table, he had no smile and barely made eye contact. Our server was Hannah and as you can see in the picture she kept giving that beautiful smile and was very attentive to our table and made her rounds often enough. She made sure that our table did not have any mushrooms as one of us is allergic. The food taste is different and very enjoyable Each dish we ordered, I tasted and loved. I would totally recommend coming here. The decor inside is well done as well.

Last night, my family and I dined at Nightingale — a restaurant we’ve always held in high regard. While the food was fantastic as usual, the service from our server, Iva, was unexpectedly disappointing and concerning.
We specifically ordered our dishes without cilantro because my mother has a serious reaction to it. Yet when the food arrived, it contained cilantro. When I raised this politely, Iva responded by saying it was the customer’s responsibility to remove the cilantro from the dish. I was shocked by her response, especially because we had clearly requested no cilantro due to an allergy. When I told her that blaming the customer felt unfair, she repeated again that it was “our duty” to remove it. This attitude completely ruined what was meant to be a special family dinner.
The restaurant eventually switched our server, and what seemed to be a manager (possibly Francis) took over, which we appreciated. However, no acknowledgment, apology, or gesture of courtesy was offered for the situation — something that many restaurants would typically do to diffuse such concerns.
At the end, I simply chose not to leave a tip and calmly explained why. My intention was not to escalate the issue but to ensure the feedback is heard, especially because mishandling an allergy could have serious consequences for any future guest.
I still respect Nightingale for its food and ambiance, and I hope this feedback helps prevent a similar incident from happening again. It was an unfortunate experience that should not have occurred, and I genuinely hope future visits live up to the standard Nightingale is known for.

We were four friends, and we had a blast sharing salad, pizza, pasta, a side dish, and dessert. Everything was so great! The lady who served us was so kind and friendly too. I’d love to come back for special occasions as well.

Excellent as always .If you happen to be vegetarian, you have so many great choices. The bramble cocktail, one of my favourites. Service is top notch. Love the atmosphere. It reminds me of dining in New York.

Our third time at Nightingale. Our party of 4 ordered margarite pizza, beet salad, focaccia, lasagne and pumpkin. More than enough. Service was great and the price-point for our meal was excellent. We will be back.

Very small portion for the appetizers. I got prawns and scallops. Both are flavourful. For the mains, I got the clam pasta and braised beef. They were ok, nothing really special. The main winner is the Japanese sweet potato, sweet and savory.

We had great service and excellent food. The buttermilk chicken was delicious! It had this nostalgic flavour profile... with the cinnamon and maple syrup like French toast from my childhood... The chorizo pizza was unreal too. That dough! The tuna crudo - fresh and yum!! Every item was a hit with the both adults and kids (9 & 12). Would recommend!

You can tell that Nightingale is a very well-run operation. The service was excellent, every employee was very friendly, and they really did a good job spacing out our order so we could eat when it was fresh out of the kitchen. It was also decorated for the holidays while we were there and it really livened up and brightened the room in a pretty and understated way. Overall, the food was fine. The braised meatballs were excellent and maybe set the bar a little bit too high for everything else. The rigatoni all'arrabbiata wasn't anything to write home about. I didn't eat the brussels sprouts, but my wife loved the thai chili vinaigrette. The braised short rib had really good flavor, but for the portion size and the quality of the beef, it was overpriced. The Kennebec fries were good, but, again, a little pricy for what they were. Ultimately, I would say 3.5-star food, but 5-star service. Unfortunately, we got a bad table as well, seated next to a waitstaff area with clean silverware and plates, so it was a little loud and employees would congregate there. Having booked on OpenTable via the Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables benefit, it was disappointing that wasn't noted in the reservation since it is one of the well-advertised perks of the card.

It was my partners first time. We were lucky to sit right on front of the kitchen as we both enjoy watching the chefs at work. From when we were greeted at the front desk to leaving, the service has been very warming and welcoming. Our waitress explained everything and gave us great recommendations The food... my goodness the balance and flavors in each dish we ordered... started with the seared tuna, foccacia bread, clam pasta and wagyu beef. It was the perfect combination.. everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Our final plate, the carrot cake and let me tell you... its one of the most amazing cake we've ever had!!!!! We plan to be back as we have our eyes on other dishes... this is a hands down must go to restaurant. Keep it up!!!!
