We reserved the chef's booth for our dinner. Hostess was great noting my wife's walking cane and offered to route us to the elevator but we opted for stairs. (My wife is post knee surgery.)
The menu is extensive as we asked our server, Evan, for help ensuring we ordered the appropriate amount. We took home a meatball so it looks like his advice worked.
Anyhow - food was fantastic - the Buttermilk fried chicken, spiced maple syrup was insanely great and we saw many orders going by. Housemade bratwurst sausage also excellent. Baked Japanese sweet potato is a must try. Surprise of the evening was the Nightingale focaccia - huge tower chunk of break covered in olives, sundried tomatoes, parmesan.
Wine list is solid - pretty inexpensive.
Our server was five star. Really made sure we were happy campers, attentive without being obnoxious (you know the type), hunted down a particular type of wine I wanted and at the end of the meal walked us thru a little maze to the elevators.
PS The Chicken!!! đ

Large venue with a lovely atmosphere nestled in downtown Vancouver. Service and presentation are top notch; food is good for the price. The spaghetti on the kid's menu is excellent, super simple and delicious.

I personally recommend the regular table over the chefâs table â the atmosphere is much nicer. The service was top-notch and truly the highlight of the experience. I was excited for the vongole pasta, but it was a bit underwhelming. However, the lasagna was absolutely amazing and a must-try. The chicken was good but fairly standard.
Overall, itâs a great place to order several dishes and enjoy them with drinks â perfect for sharing and pairing.

Christine was amazing. She was genuinely welcoming. She guided us through the menu, made recommendations, and identified her honest favourites. We were not led astray. Everything was most flavourful, beautifully presented, fresh, and hot. We had a fantastic âdate night.â Thank you to Christine and all of her support staff!

The place and ambiance were nice, but the food and customer service were just okay. Our server never came back to check on us or ask how the food was or if everything was alright. The food wasnât bad, but it wasnât exceptionally delicious either. We tried this place because of the hype and positive reviews online, but unfortunately, we wouldnât come back again.

Justifies the hype. Book really early. Pizzas are great, happy hour deals and great cocktails. Not surprised itâs hard to book on short notice.

The service is great, very welcoming. The atmosphere and interior of the restaurant is beautiful as well.
The food itself is, meh, not as good as I expected from the reviews. This place is a bit overhyped, you can get better quality for better prices elsewhere. I think people just come here for the vibes and thatâs still valid.
Family day dinner was fabulous. Our waitress Tally was great, fun vibe, provided great service and took really good care of our party. We did have a wee issue with one of the dishes and they comped it and a replacement. Thank you Francis and Tally, outstanding experience!

Had a pre-Valentine's dinner at this exceptional place. For the entrée, we tried an apple salad with cheese and nuts. It was good; however, the apple slices could have done better. Instead of big chunks, they could have been sliced into Julienne cut or smaller chunks. For the main dinner, we chose 100-layer lasagna, baked Japanese potatoes and their famous buttermilk fried chicken.
I ranked as follows
1. Butter milk fried chicken - it was so good, tender, crispy, well seasoned, completely fit with the sauce.
2. Baked Japanese sweet potatoes, the skin is very delicious, it's crispy, sweet and savoury at the same time. The sour sauce makes it perfect.
3. 100-layer lasagna, so so, just like a regular homemade lasagna.
Overall was fine.

Much better than Hawksworth. Thank you for opening that place.
However, I just changed my review from 4 to 1 star.
After a while, I went back in this place.
Food is just passable now, service is horrible, they don't even do eye contact and they all seem so fake.
No more changes in food, even if you are allergic, they don't care at all.
I asked a pizza, there was no shaved parmesan in the ingredients, but the prosciutto arugula usually have it on the top in other places.
I asked if there was, they said yes, and I asked if they could remove it.
They told me that the chef decided: no more changes in the menu. Even if there was no parmesan, and they just sprinkle it at the very end.
I did notify that it was not written in the ingredient list on the menu, the waitress just repeated the same sentence twice in a row, like a robot.
This place has lost its soul.
I ordered the mussels instead, dish was very small, mussels were lukewarm, almost raw. Sauce ws all clumpy.
I don't think I will go there ever again, this is so sad.
They definitely think of themselves much higher than what they are and will look down on you. I have noticed this trend was slowly getting worse, especially now, there are sometimes 4 hostesses at the same time behind that mini counter lol !
They are young, and treat you like they are the queen and you are a poor peasant.
Beautiful and pleasant atmosphere and food was best
