Nirvana is my favourite Indian Restaurant in Vancouver- have been supporting this lovely, family run business since discovering it over 15 years ago. The best vegetable jalfrezi and aloo gobi going. Cannot wait until it is open again - I miss those fresh and perfectly balanced flavours!

In Vancouver for Pride weekend and a getaway. Google searched Indian restaurant near me while at "the village" and Nirvana restaurant was just 15 minutes walk from me. I ordered Lamb Vindaloo and opted for 5 spicy level, just because I haven't had chilly in a bit. This meal tasted like a homemade one, and together with the ginger Naan bread, the treat was worth. The masala chai tea was also very good for the tea lovers. And oh, did I tell you about how super friendly the staff is? So when in Vancouver downtown, drop by in there and get your belly filled really good. Because that's exactly how I am feeling right now.

Amazing food and even better customer service. Price was more than fair and servings was quite large. I had the chicken curry and it was the best curry I’ve ever had in years. Highly recommend 10/10!!

Nirvana seems to be owner operator operations. The lady at the front counter is really sweet and caring. However for the ambience I would give it a 4 star out of 5. Customer service 5 out of 5.Not being from the area I came to Indian food in a tourist area. The location has good business for to go and sit down. Most of the customers are non-indian. As we ordered our food starving, we were surprisingly shocked by lack of taste, and flavor of the food. I would suggest if your taste more with Indian spices maybe head to Surrey.I believe the owner has a good business and runs it with pride for her clientele.I wish her continued success.

Dimly lit, intimate setting. Food was great - I had the non veg plate which was lamb curry & butter chicken with basmati rice and naan. I preferred the butter chicken. Not pictured are the two biggest pieces of naan I've ever seen which tasted great especially with the sauces

Heavenly Naan! It is soft, pillowy, crispy, buttery… If I lived in Vancouver, I would eat one every single day. All the food we ordered was amazing though, so you can‘t go wrong. And the service is more than sweet. Can‘t recommend this place enough!
We ordered several appetizers and main dishes for lunch. They delivered the food which arrived exactly on time. The owners were great in handling our order and were very friendly. Every single dish tasted fresh and was very flavorful and extremely delicious! This was the best Indian food I have had in a very long time. This is now my favorite restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants mouthwatering Indian food.

On a recent day trip to Vancouver, my wife and I were fortunate to stumble on this unpretentious jewel of a restaurant. Everything was absolutely perfect, and perfectly delicious. We both loved every mouthful. Fantastic!

This was our first time experience in Nirvana for Indian, and I would definitely like to bring to everyone’s notice that the food and specially their hospitality is amazing. We came during their closing hours but still we didn’t feel they were in a rush and provided us with all the items we needed. The owners are super nice and friendly, I feel sad I was so into the food that didn’t click a picture to post here.I would recommend all Indian food lovers to try this restaurant. Cheers!!!

Very tasty restaurant run by lovely lovely people! I had my birthday lunch here with my mom and brother, and I couldn’t have asked for a tastier meal! The staff were friendly and very sweet with my 6-year-old daughter. We ordered way too much food and they helped us pack it up and added an extra naan because my daughter gobbled the first one up so quickly!We parked just down the street (not on Main) but there’s also very close underground parking or call in advance for parking around back if you have difficulty walking.
