We had brunch today at Nook and were amazed at the quality and affordability of the items on the menu. My husband had the spaghetti carbonara and I had the eggs diabolo. His pasta was al dente, truly authentic and my dish, served in a cast iron pan was a perfect blend of tastes; a layer of smooth polenta topped with eggs and a spicy, chunky, tomato sauce and served with toasted bread.

I had a reservation at this restaurant, but when I arrived, we were only offered the option to sit at the bar or outside on the patio, even though there were plenty of tables available inside. I ordered a Coke Zero, which came in a regular glass cup. When I finished it, I asked for another one, and to my surprise, it wasn’t a refill, which is usually standard here in Canada.

If you are charging $5 for a glass of Coke, you should at least offer a full can or provide free refills. It definitely wasn’t the kind of surprise I expected when I saw the bill, especially since the waitress never mentioned that refills weren’t included (after I asked for the second glass). Paying $10 for less than 500 ml of soda feels a bit unreasonable.

The atmosphere was warm and lively, with a great balance of energy and comfort. We ordered the Mushroom & Pancetta Pizza, Pepperoni Pizza, and Rigatoni Boscaiola, and every dish was excellent. The pizzas had that perfect wood-fired crust and rich flavour, and the pasta was creamy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The service was friendly and attentive without feeling rushed.

Nice to see what nook has become but the feature pasta would be considered good for a casual. Basic at best and at that price point it definitely needs more work.a thicker pasta needs more sauce to help with the chew, so it was dry and lack depth of flavor.
The Rigatoni was good but eventually tasted like sundries tomatoes after three bites.
Pizzas are always great

Great, light food, delicious, innovative, creative. Super friendly, informal service. The meatballs and the foccacia are amazing. Pizza as well. I say what both MacArthur and the Terminator said...

Thoroughly enjoyed the mushroom & pancetta pizza and the greens. The orecchiette on the other hand was average. Would definitely return to try more pizzas and other salads though!

had a fantastic time visiting this new nook location, and exploring the unique items on this location’s menu. one of the only places in the city with the italian montefalco wine.

Is there a reason why yesteryear’s top40 is playing? Nook Denman at least plays mainly 1980s hits.

I went for a business lunch this past week - about 2 months after the restaurant opened -so they'd had breathing room to settle in. Given that it was a business lunch, and we wanted to speak, the music was loud and imposing. The menu was somewhat odd - in that it was more for sharing (which we were told by our server) At most business lunches I go to, sharing is not very appropriate. Prices were reasonable, food tasted good, service was efficient - but I wouldn't rush back.

Cozy casual dining place at downtown. Pizza is good with chewy texture, steak is great. A really great place for hanging out with friends

I've been couple times and tried most of the menus, my favorite was Soppressata pizza I stronglyrecommend. And Tiramisu for dessert is so good also!
Good atmosphere and service was always good. I will definitely go there again!

5PM, ordered the ribeye, boscaiola, and tiramisu. Great food and dessert, but I have had better service at an Irish pub. Similar experience to another commenter below. Do better.
