I took Niku Tama for takeout - when I got to my office, I found out the poached egg was missing; the food is very greasy too.

Absolutely awful. Tried to order a bento box with a California roll and get an avocado roll in substitution they said no. Girl working was extremely rude. Was so awful I had to spit out the food. Will never return. Do not go here.

They had bogo 50% from 4pm-close. I ordered the seafood laksa udon soup and a crazy cali roll. The soup was hot; broth was spicy, creamy, and so flavourful. The udon noodles were nice and chewy, the perfect texture. Sushi was fresh and delicious. There are lots of options to choose from but I highly recommend the seafood laksa!!!

As I explored the UBC campus, some of my friends had gotten hungry, so we decided to get lunch. A few us split to another food service place, and another few went here. I would say that after trying the Angry Chicken and the Bulgolgi Rice Bowl, I can properly say that my afternoon had become 100% better.

The chicken was perfectly fried, with a balance of umami and spice. For the bulgolgi, the texture was excellent, with the perfect chew and bite. Sweet and Savory, and of course, the rice balanced it perfectly.

This was true perfection. Also, funnily enough, I saw a kid working out the window and that drawn me in.

I knew this place was going to be the best of my best. ( ´∀` )b

I always get the seafood laksa here! It’s flavourful, and the shrimp are big and juicy. It’s made with udon noodles. The Niku tama udon is good too, though it’s a bit too oily. If you’re coming here, I recommend getting something with udon noodles rather than ramen.

I only tried the ramen once, and the noodles were really overcooked. The noodles were all mushy and the texture was so bad I couldn’t finish it. The soft-boiled egg was yummy though. I got the shrimp tempura as an add-on for $2, and the batter was super thick and doughy. The whole thing was 70% dough, 30% shrimp…

The noodles were pretty soft as if they were over cooked and the Kimchi Mentaiko Udon had very little kimchi in it, no green onion like the photo, and was warm rather than hot like you might expect it to be. I never waste good but had to throw out about half because I couldn’t bring myself to eat the rest of it
