Amazing food just a little bit loud. Recommend the meat platter for 2 (it can actually feed 3).

Definitely a must-visit, cozy Greek restaurant in the heart of the old Greek neighborhood in Kitsilano. The food was full of authentic Mediterranean flavors, bringing back wonderful memories. The sea bass was outstanding, fresh and flavorful as if it came straight from the Mediterranean. We also enjoyed perfectly fried atherines and gavros, along with a crisp, finely chopped lettuce salad that was incredibly refreshing. The tiganopsomo, loaded with cheese and served with a side of creamy taramosalata, was another highlight. From the meat selection, the pancettas, juicy keftedakia, and were absolutely delicious. The grilled octopus paired beautifully with a glass of ouzo to finish the meal.
They offer an impressive selection of authentic Greek wines, but this time we opted for Aperol spritzes, which were light and refreshing. Next time, I am looking forward to trying their wine selection along with their famous meat platter.
Service was warm, genuine, and friendly, making me feel like I was back in Greece.
A true gem in Vancouver. 5/5 stars without a doubt.

Noisy place. Hard to have a conversation. Owners should add sound absorbers. Mediocre selection for vegetarians, only veggie options are appetizers. The pita and dip were delicious. But that seems to be the case of more restaurants these days it’s just about meat, meat, meat when people are wanting veggie.

I enjoyed the food although I found sharing a variety of items with others resulted in a much better experience versus having individual meals.
There were a number of highlights for me that were spread across a few dishes including the cheese mix balls, cheese slices, sliced cucumbers, and olives from the Meze Platter and the Tzatziki dip including the pitas which impressed along with the Pork and Chicken Souvlaki (the pork was slightly better). I also enjoyed the feta mayo side dip which came with the fries.
Food is good but don’t go hungry, you’ll wait 45 min for your food.
Oh and then 15 min for the bill. (And it was not even that busy)

Typically our go to Greek restaurant for great food despite the service being hit or miss.
I put our name down for 5 people on the patio and was told the wait would be about 30 minutes. After waiting the full time and checking back in, we had to wait again just to speak to someone, only to be told they don’t seat groups of 5 on the patio at all. That should’ve been mentioned right away.
We then waited another 15 minutes to be seated inside, with no updates or acknowledgment from the staff that we’d been waiting around for 45+ minutes. When we were finally seated, the table was oddly spaced out and didn’t feel comfortable for a group of 5.
Really hoping this was just an off day but this visit was pretty disappointing we decided to leave and eat somewhere else.

Great local restaurant we visit often. Great vibe, service always attentive, bartender super knowledgeable (limoncello spritzer amazing). Ideal for sharing. Love the beet salad and the Ekmek homemade ice cream was magic. We will be back.

The food was good, specially the dips. The atmosphere and ambience was great. But my lamb chops were micro or one bite each ($9+ each) and the waitress instead of side greek salads to our meals brought dinner salad without asking or clarifying and we got hit with $23+ each on top of our main course! The worst part was that she said it was our fault (that is not the customer satisfaction policy I am used to). Left dissapointed as I suggested the place :(

I really don’t want it to be harder to get a table here, but Nostos is amazing. Simon seriously cares about the food and drinks they serve. Saganaki cheese is my must-order
