As always Nuba is great. Great food, great service, great ambiance. Always enjoy taking my friends there.
Nuba was an amazing experience, the food was exceptional and service was so friendly, welcoming and accomodating. Worth it!
The lunch specials are a large portion and I appreciated the variety of options on the menu. The falafel plate was very generous with the number of falafels provided and I left feeling stuffed!
After a cool rainy day of walking, this was a perfect supper out. The restaurant is warm and inviting, and the staff was too. Our server was helpful in choosing a sampler of really delicious dishes and wine. It would be fun to come back with a bigger group and try more dishes. We recommend it!
This is the best Mediterranean food I’ve had in Vancouver. The meat is tender and served in large portions. All the sides, vegetables, and sauces are balanced fantastically. I would highly recommend trying this place out.

We really enjoyed our time at Nuba. The food was delicious and the service was friendly, helpful, and quick. We were a group of 4 and shared the assorted dip platter. Each dip was different and tasty! It came with pita and pickled cabbage. We also had the cauliflower appetizer which was excellent. One of our party had the red lentil soup and really enjoyed it. We had the mujaddara and added falafel balls to it. We also had the eggplant main dish which was fabulous. For dessert we enjoyed the assorted baklava.
We were super jet lagged and just wanted to have a bite. The food was good.

Great food and service
Thank you for your consistent quality of food and services over the past 20+ years. I don't go downtown much since retirement and there's a lot more competition of excellent vegan/vegetarian healthy cuisine in the area, but I still love dining at your Gastown location. Nice selection. Wonderful flavours. A nice spot to spend an evening. Keep up the good work!

I had the best meal of my life at Nuba! I ordered the Garden Falafel, which was absolutely incredible – crispy, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. I also tried the Karkade (iced hibiscus tea with lemon & agave) and the house-made Ginger Beer, and both were refreshing and delicious.
On top of the amazing food and drinks, the service was impeccable – attentive, kind, and genuinely welcoming. Nuba is a true gem in Vancouver, and I can’t wait to come back!

Restaurantji Recommends
Probably one of, if not the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten in. The food was out of this world, the service excellent and the ambience was great.
I heard that for example the hummus recipe has been passed down for generations and is award winning and the entire menu really stands out with that award winning quality.
I’m only sorry I didn’t get to visit the other locations to try out their slightly varied menus.

$21 per person for the vegetarian platter will get you 2 falafels each, 1 piece of zucchini each, 2 pieces of cauliflower each, about 2 baby potatoes each, and the spiced lentil stew on rice is actually just lentils on rice with very little seasoning. Does not come with hummus or salad, although you will get a single ramekin of tahini sauce, and one of hot sauce. For some reason it comes with avocado although for 3 people we got 1/2 of one, so I’m not sure if you need 6 people to qualify for a full avocado… We ordered salad but they forgot and by the time we said something we realized we didn’t want it as it was also $20 and we were skeptical the portion would be any better than the platter. Disappointed! Used to be a huge Nuba fan but I can’t justify being ripped off on a plate of such low-cost ingredients. Our server did give us a discount on our drinks because they forgot the salad so that was nice.

Has a very solid shish taouk here. Outside area is a little scary but downstairs restaurant is beautiful. It tasted fresh and had great spices. Service was fast and friendly. Very moderate prices. Portions are on the small side.
