I recently booked Nuba for a group dinner during a workshop we were hosting, and as always, the experience was a pleasure. Nuba staff made it very easy to book the space, were conscientious of our various dietary needs, and of course, delivered incredible food and drink! The set sharing menu came with plenty of food and enough options to please everyone. It was a pleasant evening, and I look forward to being back!

This is a lovely restaurant, and the service was great. My meal, not so much, and sadly my husband had ordered the same thing: Chicken Shwarma, for $29 each. Now, I'm used to the shwarma plate at Rayhan (16th & Oak) which is the best I've tried (and I've only had shwarma in 5 or 6 locations in town, so it's not necessarily the best, period). But for $18 at Rayhan you get pita bread, humus, tablouli, green salad, delicious rice, delicious chicken, and the rice and chicken are liberally covered with three yummy sauces. At Nuba? You get pita, dry chicken, mushy potatoes, no sauces, no extras, no sides. Had the chicken and potatoes been amazing, then fine. I'd even be okay paying more money and having delicious food, that's fine. But almost $30 for not particularly tasty food? It palls. It's pretty, and my drink was good, so by all means hang out with friends and drink, but IMO the food has gone downhill, and I wish I knew why. Similar disapointment at the Mt. Pleasant branch, though from a different order. This was just on Monday, and I don't see it on their online menu, so I don't know if they haven't updated it yet, or if it's off the menu. I can only hope the latter.

I wished to like this place more. The place is cute, the food was pretty good but the pricing was a bit out of control. 30$ for a mixed dip plate was hard to comprehend. ( the menu says 15 but it’s per person??) the waitress tried to explain it but she also seemed to be confused. Overall, expensive. Would be good if you went with 6+ people and all ordered one dish each to share.

Food was very good until we ordered desert, the $9.00 Baklava, which was 5 little bite-sized pieces of what was supposed to resemble baklava. Looked very much like it came from a commercial package like the ones in the picture; $5.95 at Vegan Supply. Dry and unimpressive. So disappointing! Can't believe this is $9.00.
For this price, give a large slice of Baklava, preferably made in-house.

I had a truly wonderful experience at this Lebanese restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, every dish was full of flavor, made with fresh ingredients, and perfectly prepared.
I also had the pleasure of meeting the manager, who was such a lovely and kind person. You can tell she genuinely cares about her guests and her team. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole evening even more special. I can’t wait to come back!

I went for dinner this evening with my partner. The food was good, but the service was pathetic. They served us drinks and never came back to ask if we needed refills. They delivered the food, and no one showed up to ask if we needed anything else, so we had to wait for a long time before we could ask for a check once we were done. We literally had to get up and ask the hostess to get us the check. They should work on their service.

Had a fantastic time celebrating my birthday in Nuba Kitsilano's private room! Our group was about 13 people so it was perfect to have our own space to enjoy. The food and drinks were amazing, and major kudos to our waiter Alberto, who really did an amazing job taking care of our many needs. Thanks again & can't wait to come back!
