i love NUBA and the atmospher, food and sawervice, ive been going since they opened and I just have to say its so consistent and always feels like each location is better than the last!! But today besides appreciating the delicious food, I wanted to request if Nuba can also purely use olive oil only for their food prep? I buy the nuba hummus at fresh st and its my favourite, but I am always curious why canola oil is used in its prep under ingredients. the hummus is a constant addition to my diet, but as i lean toward more healthy practices as im getting older, i feel sad that i may have to leave it out of my diet because of the one ingredient :( i really wish there was a product by Nuba that was catered to health by using more health consious ingredients, or just no oil - the one i make at home has chickpeas tahini lemon and salt..this is just a request because I love your food and I would feel better dining at Nuba if olive oil was used or none for prep in the restaraunt and also on the grocery shelves! thank you for listening to me :)

My recent visit went badly and won't be coming back. The server wrongly charged us higher prices on the bill because they accidentally used the takeout app prices, which I would have paid more if I hadn't checked. They didn't apologize or anything. Service was slow and didn't check up on us much. They also didn't know the menu well.
Food was not as good as the first time I had. We had the Grilled Mezze Sampler (good variety but not a lot), Najib's Special (which was not crispy and more oily/salty than the first time I had it), and Hummus (the only outstanding food).
Overall, food was just ok and with that service and price point, I wouldn't purposely come back again.

Recently had the pleasure to celebrate my birthday with 40+ people at Nuba. The service, the food, the ambiance, everything was perfect. Andrea, the events manager, made the booking experience very easy, and shoutout to our server Tom who never let a drink go empty and accommodated our special requests very smoothly. Another shoutout to Illimani, who was our server the first time we dined at Nuba. Her hospitality and the incredible menu convinced me to come back for my birthday with a bigger group. If you are craving authentic Middle Eastern food in Vancouver, or want to celebrate with a big group this is is the spot you're looking for!

Four of us shared 2 servings of the hot mezze platter, one chicken shawarma entree, a fattoush salad and hummus with pomegranate and sumac dip. There was lots of food and flavours to explore and enjoy. Shared a couple of desserts (baklava cheesecake crust was tough, crème brûlée was good) and had a steamed almond milk drink which was good. Would return.
Food was not great. I had the lamb T bone, which was full of gristle and fat and very thin. Completely inedible. Also I had made a reservation way in advance, and we still were seated in upstairs right next to the busing station which is also a complete thoroughfare. Will not be back. Very disappointing.
Unfortunately, this was a disappointing experience. The waitress was not professional, and the shawarma wrap was extremely small and barely had any chicken in it. After we spoke up, we ordered another item, and they did offer 50% off the shawarma, which we appreciated. However, all the portions were very small and not worth the price overall. We expected much better value and service.such a waste of money.
Celiacs beware. We went to Nuba in Kitsilano for brunch. I ordered the mung bean omelette (which was delicious) and the waitress assured me was gluten free. I knew I had been glutened even before we left the restaurant. After we finished our meal we attempted to order falafels which again the waitress assured me were gluten free until I asked if they used a separate fryer. The waitress told me no, they didn’t have a separate fryer and they couldn’t be responsible for cross contamination. This would have been helpful to know BEFORE I ate my lunch. In short, I have been sick all day today and won’t be back to Nuba.

Delicious Dine Out for a great price. All courses included a GF Option, Delightful evening
I ordered the lamb stew from the Dine Out menu, and it was disappointing. The dish had only three very small pieces of lamb, which felt insulting for the price. I wouldn’t go back. Overall, the food was a 2/5 and far from the best meal I’ve had. I regret not saying something at the time.

They had a rat inside of the restaurant!!! It was going around to tables while we were eating. It was super gross… Waiter dismissed it when we told them.

This was my second time trying this location and second time disappointed. We ordered the vegetarian mezze sampler. The food is quite bland, especially the lentils - just tastes like boiled lentils. The potatoes were undercooked, very firm inside. The other locations have a higher food standard, cooked and spiced differently, although at a higher price point.
Enjoy a flavorful and reasonably priced meal at Nuba. We have always loved Nuba for their consistency in menu items ( the Najib's special has many items including the best cauliflower in the city)
plus outstanding service. Andrea is very pleasant, quick and accurate with the service she provides. Others on the team were also excellent. Lots of gluten free and Vegan options at Nuba. We will be back!
