Nanuk smoked salmon is by far the best on the market

We have purchased their Nanuk smoked west coast salmon for years. Far better than the Norwegian or Atlantic salmon. Unfortunately Costco in Quebec have stopped carrying Nanuk. We will need to find a new source for Nanul

Their Nanuk smoked salmon sold at Cosco is not good quality. For one, it always has too strong fish smell, even if the production date is very recent. It just smells too much, which indicates problems with freezing during processing or transport (or at Cosco). This happened with more than one purchase. Second, the website 'seems' to say their salmon is wild catch. At least, that what their story is, but in reality, even if this is Pacific salmon, it still is farmed salmon on the Pacific side. Yes, it's not expensive, but it's not that good quality either.
