I eat here at least once a month, and that alone should tell you how much I love this place. The staff treat you like family, and every visit feels welcoming and genuine. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and consistently amazing. It is the kind of restaurant you look forward to coming back to again and again.
Consistently great experience, from service, to food and drinks, ambience...the only ding is that the noise level indoors can be challenging. We prefer to be outside under the heat lamps.
We came here for a date night and chose to sit by the kitchen at the Chef's table to watch the action. The menu looked amazing so we chose to try the tasting menu and were blown away. Everything was so fresh, amazing flavours, and we left absolutely stuffed. The drinks and overall ambiance we all excellent too. Would definitely recommend and will for sure be back again!
If you want a local eatery that has the charm of Kits - choose Oddfish. Very professional, very delicious.

The fish was small size and too salty. Not satisfied with this experience

Visiting Vancouver, wanted a non-touristy but great local seafood spot. This place nailed it. Great service. Great food. Accommodated us getting in 2 hours earlier than our reservation. And we were in great hands with an attentive and knowledgeable waiter. Ate a fish from Greece (not exactly local) but it was still fantastic. As were the oysters/fries/brocollini/watermelon salad/spaghetti vognole/drinks.

From the very first bite to the last spoonful of dessert, every single dish was absolutely stunning!
The burrata with cherries and fresh herbs was bright and refreshing, the grilled oysters rich and briny with just the right touch of butter, the crudo trio (kanpachi, salmon, swordfish) was delicate and fresh, the mushroom linguini with pine nuts and herbs had incredible depth and texture — and finishing with the salted caramel dessert was pure bliss.
This is a restaurant that truly cooks with heart. Every plate showed thoughtful ingredient selection and precise execution. Easily a 5+ star experience in flavor, presentation, and service. Can’t wait to come back!

Run, don’t walk, to to this magnificent neighborhood restaurant. The food is beyond terrific: spectacular ceviche, seared lettuce, and the fish ragu (a religious experience!).
We sat at the Chef’s Counter and had a fantastic time chatting with Chef Etienne, observing his creative expertise, and admiring the team’s collegiality, humor, and mutual support. The very antithesis of Bear! The servers are all friendly and clearly love working there. It’s a can’t-miss spot!
