Really good food! The shakes are incredible. They're serving breakfast all day, its the perfect spot for brunch. The dips, fried chicken, waffles and waffle fries were so good. Great service, very affordable, portions are filling.

Originally came across this place because I wanted to go to a board game café that wasn’t closed on a holiday. Though they do have a selection of a few games, the main attraction I’d say is their food! I got menu item C (Mac n cheese and chicken bombs) and the quality of food is stellar. I also got the regular Oreo shake, which also has great quality. I unfortunately didn’t try more than that but the eggs, hash browns, bacon, waffles, etc. looked really good as well as my friends got them, and judging by the other reviews, they seem to be good as well. The reason why this is four stars instead of five is because the food is actually quite pricey. Which, yeah, I know, this is Vancouver, but I can get equally good food someplace else for less. Maybe I'm just uneducated and this is how much chicken and waffles normally costs, I don't know. Don't get me wrong though, I still love this place. Very homey atmosphere, friendly staff, and like I said, stellar food. And I still highly recommend this place if you ever need a place to get dessert, or even if you need a place to eat, period. If you're not in a tight budget like I am, it's worth the spend.

So-so. Lots of food but our meals came five minutes apart. The add-ons made it a bit pricey. One and done.

Came in and ask whats the fastest food to make as im in a working lunch. Owner told me the chicken sandwich will take 8 mins. So I ordered it and they delivered without over cooking or undercooking my food. Perfect golden brown exterior appearance and juicy from the inside! And you can see the sense of urgency from them they served the food.

If you’re craving a mix of savory and sweet, this place should be your next stop! Their menu has something for everyone, but let me start by raving about their French toast—it’s simply unforgettable.

The French toast had a perfect balance of textures: a beautifully crisp exterior that gave way to a soft, fluffy center. It was generously topped with fresh fruit—juicy strawberries, and ripe bananas—that added a natural sweetness to every bite. A drizzle of syrup made it a true showstopper.

What’s even better is how convenient they make it for takeout. If you're on the go or driving somewhere, picking up food here is a breeze. The staff is quick and efficient, and the food comes out piping hot and neatly packed, ready to be devoured.

In a city of $20 burgers, Off the Grid is such a refreshing and affordable option! A combo will run you $15 for a OG burger, side, and a drink. The burger is easily one of the tastiest chicken sandwiches I’ve had in the city. Their waffles are also perfectly fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. This is such a hidden gem in my neighbourhood and is worth visiting!

Food was pretty good, reasonably priced. Waffles were great tho on the smaller side. Chicken karaage was a bit too oily. Scrambled eggs were great and fluffy.

make sure you get the French toast with syrup!

passed this place a few times before I tried it, I was missing out. The waffles were perfectly cooked, the French toast is probably one of the best I've ever had airy yet crispy, and their fried chicken was juicy!

Definitely gonna go come back, might try their shakes next time.

We ordered the Deluxe Chicken N' Waffles with Bacon and Waffle Fries (#14 on their menu), a side of curly fries, and the garlic cheese dipping sauce. The meal was delicious and satisfying. I'm looking forward to returning to sample their drinks. One of the owners personally served us and was exceptionally friendly. They also have a selection of child-friendly board games, adding a fun touch for families. Like many local businesses, they face challenges staying afloat, and I hope they attract more customers soon.

My partner and I went to this cafe after looking for a place to have brunch close by. We weren’t disappointed! Don’t be put off by the nondescript front of the cafe. Once you open the door you’re greeted by some very cool decor, great music, very friendly service, good value for money, and most importantly delicious food :-) I thoroughly recommend this cafe!

Too expensive for the food quality and what they have to offer.

24 dollars for a classic poutine ?!?!

I don’t recommend this place.
