Always great. Always good beer, service, and atmosphere. Love Off the Rail!
lovely staff, great vibe, relaxing patio in the summer months. i love popping by the checkout new brews.
A great little taproom, authentic beer served by the charismatic, enigmatic and diplomatic Lisa.
I was so surprised with how good our bartenders service was. She attended to us often, had great suggestions for flights, was easy to talk to, and she even brought my dog water and treats.
I felt she treated us like we were her kin or family. I was constantly at ease, and we could enjoy our beer in a relaxing manner.
As more people arrived not once did I feel that we received lesser service, and for cultural hospitality like that I’d 100% recommend visiting. Perhaps Tuesday nights would be the best time for beer.
They always give me a good experience and beer here. I love their quality of beer and service. Good price too. I’ll comeback soon. I forgot to grab her name at bar. Thank you so much!!
Sweet place with a variety of seating and plenty of beers to choose from. If Mark is working the bar, you're in luck!
Best brewery in town! Great people and flavours! You won't find better! Support your local brewery!
Got a 20l of Black Forest cake stout. Very good Ryan was great. Thanks!
Love this place. Comfortable, quaint, good service, friendly staff, and good cold drinks. And now they serve these super fresh pizzas by Dion! The kind of pizza you can tell is made with quality ingredients.
Finally found a brewery that gets it right! After months of disappointing craft beer experiences across Southeast Asia (looking at you, lychee ale disaster in Jakarta), Off The Rail reminded me why I love local brewing.
The cucumber pilsner was an absolute revelation - refreshing without being gimmicky, with just enough cucumber essence to make it interesting without tasting like I was drinking a salad. Perfect balance that showcased actual brewing skill rather than just throwing random ingredients together and hoping for the best.
But let's talk about the real stars: the popcorn and samosas. The popcorn wasn't your typical movie theater variety - properly seasoned with what tasted like a blend of spices that complemented rather than competed with the beer. Salty, savory, and addictive in the best way. Found myself ordering a second bowl before I'd finished the first.
The samosas were outstanding - crispy exterior, perfectly spiced filling that had just enough heat to enhance the cucumber pilsner instead of overwhelming it. Clearly made fresh, not the frozen variety you get at most brewery kitchens. The pairing worked surprisingly well together.
The atmosphere strikes the right balance between casual and refined - you can come in work clothes or bring a date without feeling over or underdressed. Staff were knowledgeable about their products without being pretentious, and actually seemed to care about customer experience rather than just pushing their most expensive options.
Pricing was reasonable for craft beer - none of that $18 pint nonsense you see at some Vancouver breweries. The cucumber pilsner was $8, which felt fair for the quality and uniqueness.
This is exactly what local brewing should be: creative without being weird, welcoming without being trendy, and focused on making good beer with good food. Will definitely be back to try more of their selection.
Finally, a brewery experience that didn't leave me missing the simplicity of Labatt Blue!

Thanks for such a wonderful chat Trigger. The stone fruit sour is very crushable, which could get someone in trouble on a hot day! D and I very much enjoyed trying your beer and hope we can see it in our local market soon. Will be back on our next trip to Vancouver. If you like beer, this place out! If you like mixed drinks check this place out as they also have canned cocktails and non alc hop flavored sparkling drinks!
Easily my favourite brewery in that area: great beers and atmosphere
One of the best breweries in east van...if not the best.
Always have such a good time here. Great beers great fun.
Super crisp, tasty beer. Love this spot!
Great brews and prices, amazing atmosphere, and best of all: one of the best services you can get at any brewery/tap room in all Vancouver, hands down. This is the type of place that makes you feel welcome and at home at all times.
