A humble, no frills sushi spot offering affordable options in a quaint & cozy environment. The dining room is small, to say the least, which is why this place is very popular with locals for takeout. Service was lovely, sushi was delicious, and prices were great. They do not serve alcohol of any kind, including Sapporo or Kirin, so do not go expecting any semblance of happy hour. While I can understand why this spot is popular amongst locals, if you've got high expectations...

This is the best value sushi I’ve tried in Vancouver. The fish is fresh with generous portions, and the service is quick and attentive. My favourite is how big the sashimi portions are! The indoor seating is quite small so it’s best to eat-in during lunch or order takeout.

I had a very good experience at Okami Sushi, the food was excellent, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. That said, seating is very limited, and there was only one server managing nearly 20 guests during our visit. She handled it impressively well, but it was clearly too much for one person, which led to longer wait times. We ended up waiting about 30 minutes for a table, even though two groups had already finished their meals and were just waiting for their bills when...
