We had a reservation for four to celebrate a birthday, and about 30 minutes before our scheduled time the restaurant called to say they were fully booked and asked us to disregard our reservation. This was understandably frustrating, especially given the occasion. After expressing our concern, they checked with the manager and called back to apologize, explaining it was an internal issue and ultimately honored our reservation, which we appreciated.

While I had mentioned in advance that we were celebrating a birthday, it wasn’t acknowledged by the staff during our visit. It’s a small detail, but those little touches can really make a difference for special occasions.

That said, once we were seated, the overall experience was good. The drinks were great, the atmosphere was enjoyable, and the value was excellent. With better communication and a bit more attention to special moments, this could easily be a standout spot.

Came here for the first time tonight for dinner with my parents, and was very impressed. The food was incredible - an excellent take on mexican cuisine, service was good, and although a bit dark for my liking the atmosphere was well decorated. Portion sizes were impressive so you can get away with ordering a single main, but the appetizers and sides were nevertheless excellent and delicious.

Had a nice time at Ophelia last night . Restaurant had a nice vibe and food was good . Our server however seemed lost, confused and not very professional . She walked by us several times as we were trying to get her attention. She also was very cold . To add fuel to the fire she messed up our bill 3 times . I would go back but would insist on “not “ sitting in her section ( we were near the kitchen close to washrooms ). Ceasers salad was ok Taco Quesabirra was good !!
Nice ambience but super loud

The ambiance was wonderful, and although our visits have been just for dinner, I truly appreciate the high quality of the cuisine. The flavours were gentle, which is understandable given the dishes' appeal to a wide range of guests. Authentic Mexican food can be quite spicy and bold, but here the flavours are nicely balanced for an international flavour, which I found quite suitable. The drinks are great, and I really enjoyed the Tres Leches cake. Definitely coming back.

Came with a larger group and had a preset menu. The striploin was a bit tough, but tastes good. The servers were kind and attentive.

Great food. The octopus was one of the most delicious dishes I have eating out in a while.

Service was disappointing, and not very accommodating to allergies. Kitchen refused multiple inquiries about how dishes could be updated for someone with allergies. Server was tired, not well put together and somewhat unfriendly

I had high expectations before going in…

Service was nonexistent.
Food was nothing special. Bone marrow barely had any edible amount.

Not sure how it made it onto the Michelin guide… But also proves Michelin is not trustworthy.

Lacking service and the food was mediocre. I have had much better experience and food before here. Very disappointed.

Most Mexican food I've had involved a fast food wrapper. This place changed and elevated my expectations for this type of cuisine. My friends were attending a show at the nearby BMO Newmont theatre so decided on a Happy Hour dinner before the show. If this is your first time, you can't go wrong with the HH menu so you can sample a variety of items at affordable prices - we did! Otherwise, the price point leans towards the upscale side. Our server was incredibly friendly, attentive and patient with our million questions about the menu. Be sure to order the aromatic Ophelia Margarita with a hibiscus twist. The portabello enchilada got thumbs up from our vegetarian diner. Our absolute favourite are the Prawn & Pineapple Tostadas. There is a generous selection of tequila and other libations to accompany the creative eats. Although we went on a Thursday, the restaurant was packed by the time we left around 7pm, so reservations might be a good idea

Service was great. Ambience wonderful. My meal was very good. I had the CHICHARRON DE RIB EYE Excellent. Beef cooked nicely. Typically in Mexican food overdone. Not here excellent. I'will say the Tex Mex breakfast was not as advertised. Definitely NOT a hash. By any definition. Completely an American breakfast with some dried chorizo sprinkled on top of the potatoes. Given the quality of everything else and the quality of the rest of the experience. This was a complete disappointment. We will come back. But.........
