Excellent buns!

Lovely little mom and pop owned bakery shop. Their history goes back decades and they are related to the original new town bakery in Chinatown. The buns are amazing and so are the little sweets and cookies ! 10/10
Mom and pop stores make communities a better place.
Picked out a big box of goodies for my partner during finals and it was a lovely mix of savoury and sweet. He said everything has been amazing.

Got the bbq pork bao. It was just alright. A bit sour taste and too salty. The bun itself is very soft. Not the best but a decent one. Great customer service. And is cash or debit only

I normally find steamed buns kind of slimey. But these were sooooo good. I got the bbq pork and it was great. I ate it so quickly I went back in to get another. The nice lady behind the counter asked me if I wanted to try a different kind. She recommended the spicy beef it was even better. Great experience, great vibes. Very wholesome energy.

Summary: hidden gem - amazing food, take out only, service is Asian standard.
Note that this bakery only does take away and there is no seating indoors; however, there are public plazas (with outdoor seating and picnic tables) within the next block.
Street parking in the area is usually easy - try side streets rather than directly on Cambie if parallel parking isn’t your thing.
Their steamed BBQ pork buns are the best I’ve ever had - the meat quality is far superior to most others. Have tried a number of buns from there - baked and steamed - both are great but their steamed ones are the ones we return for.
The couple who runs the place reminds me of my grandparents - they warm up to you when you go in regularly.
Always freshly baked and they have delicious siopao...

the steamed bbq pork buns are my absolute favourite in the whole city. they are a little pricey at $4 each after tax but i absolutely love them and believe they are worth it. perfect amount of meat to bun ratio. the lady who works there is very sweet as well :)
Don’t get bola bola here the quality is very different than downtown location despite charging same price!
Hard working people, and good taste for the price.
