this place deserves much higher than 3.8 stars. Their beef teriyaki is cooked just right, tender and cooked perfectly. Their sashimi is fresh and never smells fishy. Best Japanese restaurant in this area so far especially for the price.

....First, don't make my mistake and think these guys are the Osaka Sushi on Burrard. THAT Osaka sushi has my business for life. Just go there instead.
And why? No exaggeration this was the 2nd worst sushi I've ever had. Never have I tried so many different things on a roll just to try and give it some life. Don't get me started on the chicken karaage. Even the soy sauce they use is..off? Yikes.

The food was absolutely horrible. Mix of stale and crunchy sushi rice. The sashimi color was off. I literally had too bites and lost my appetite. Got sick an hour later.
Went in for lunch after a morning trip to the hospital and the food was fantastic. My friend and I ordered a plate each and shared them and couldn’t have been happier.

I’m usually understanding but this is the worst service I’ve received. Servers are unfriendly and food was mediocre - tuna was extremely fishy. Would not recommend this place unless you’re looking for below average food and service.

We picked up but the restaurant was very clean and cozy. The server was very friendly. The sushi was not very fresh though the rice tasted old. Maybe it was cause it was a bigger order lots of Gf options.
