Poor service, very rude. Never go again. Pouring hot tea on me, doesn't care, not even try to give me extra napkins. Go to the counter talked with the owner, don't even care , even worse. 0 apology, 0 help. I am just standing in front of her and nothing happen. Luckily I having order yet, I can just walk away with the (hot tea). Last time order take out, sushi with a hair in it.

Went there Saturday night. Waiter brought Tea, water and menu right away. We made our choice and waited and waited for waiter to take our order. One waiter sitting at the counter eating, 2nd waiter walked out with his plate of food, sat at a table and ate while looking at his phone. We got up and walked out and not even a glance from either waiter. Went down the street to Yom Tom on Cambie, had excellent service and food was much better quality.

I asked for no ginger and no wasabi on my order due to allergy. They gave it anyways. When I reported the problem I was told I could come in to get a replacement. When I arrived they told me they could not find my order and would not offer replacement. They wasted my time, I drove all the way for nothing. I will not be returning!

Small Japanese spot in busy mini mall. Nice option of bento available including unagi and chicken teriyaki.

They were very accommodating and friendly with our 2yr old. High chairs available here.Obviously, it can't compare to the high end Japanese restaurants, but it doesn't need to. This is a place you go to for an everyday meal when you're craving casual Japanese food and it does a great job at it.Parking: It's located inside a strip mall next to Safeway so there's plenty of free parking.Kid-friendliness: High chairs and plastic bowls and spoons available. Chopsticks are takeout wooden style so probably not kid friendly.

This has been my favorite restaurant for over 20 years. The food is phenomenal and the atmosphere is great. Fun for families or with friends. I highly recommend going to this great spot!

RUDE. Will never come back here nor will recommend this to anyone. We came in, no one greets you, or entertains you. We sat down ourselves instead - we waited for 10-15 mins while someone else came in straight to their own seat too and was immediately looked after. The lady there is just rude and looked miserable, she would glance over us but did not even try to get our orders. I hope it’s not due to our race but it definitely felt that way.

I hate that this place has the same name as another much superior sushi restaurant. Only one time other than today did I accidentally order from this place but today being sick, I accidentally fell for it and ordered here. As soon as my ordered was picked up I realized my mistake and would take this L as it was my fault. I figured I would at least TRY it to see if I could enjoy it enough but no.This sushi is okay at best. This is sushi that would probably be considered good if it wasn’t in Vancouver but since we have some of the best sushi restaurants (including the Osaka sushi that is downtown NOT this one) compared to what you can get for the same price this place is not worth it. The rolls aren’t rolled tightly, the rice has a texture and chew that feels like it’s not properly cooked, etc. I ate just a little bit and then decided I just can’t stomach it. I hate wasting food but I couldn’t get myself to continue eating it past a couple pieces and my miso soup.
