Thank god I listened to the reviews and got the chicken instead of the steak. Chicken was amazing. Burrata was creamy and delicious. If you like lamb, you must try the lamb pasta. Service was impeccable as well. All around amazing restaurant. Arguably the best Italian food in Vancouver

Had a disappointing experience at SV. Did the family style dining. 1 mid size plate of carpaccio & 2 small desserts for 5 people is ridiculous. How do they justify charging almost $90 per head and expecting 5 adults to share 1 plate of carpaccio and 2 desserts! The other dishes too were lacking in portion. Overall I found the quality has gone down substantially!! Definitely felt ripped off.
Jam packed with people so absolutely no ambience. Felt more like a busy diner! Sad to see a once amazing place lose their edge. I used to rave about this restaurant at one time and after my last experience they won’t be getting my support.

Absolutely outstanding restaurant!!! I recommend getting their familia menu $89 where they curate dishes for you based on your preferences. Every dish was 10/10. I can completely understand why they are booked so far in advance.
Service was also incredible. They actually paid for my Uber when I went to their other location by accident.

Their customer service was very disappointing for very tough steak meat choice.

My partner and I had an amazing time at Savio Volpe celebrating his birthday! The food was incredible, our wine pairing was perfect, but most of all, our server, Ryan, made our experience really special! He was so attentive and gave us some great recommendations. Thank you for a wonderful evening :)

Very wise with the sauces. Loved every plate. We thought our waiter was a Greek God. Their versions of negronis were a pleasant surprise. It has been a few since I have been at a restaurant where everything came together for a wonderful experience. Come with enough people to order all the pastas, and don’t skip on the Pavlova.

Food is okay level, but not super tasty level,
But the service and atmosphere is not the greatest.
Lady who seemed like supervisor was really nice but the bald guy with tattoo was not welcoming and had unwelcoming vibes.
Restaurant pretty noisy as well.

The food was actually decent, but definitely not worth the $100 per person price tag. For that kind of money, I expected more than just good food. I expected good service, ambiance, and a sense that the restaurant cared about the customer experience. Unfortunately, none of that happened.
The tables were way too close to each other that it felt like we were dining with the strangers next to us. They could’ve easily removed a few tables to create a more comfortable setup, but I guess squeezing in more people takes priority over guest experience.
Service was absolutely terrible; zero stars if I could. Our server (I think his name was Ben? An older guy with tattoos on both arms) did not clear our appetizer plates until after we had already been served our main dishes. On top of that, he took one of our cocktail glasses without asking and we weren’t even finished. It just felt rushed and inattentive the whole night.
You can tell this place is trying to be Michelin-level, but they are nowhere near that standard yet. Good food alone doesn’t cut it if everything else is lacking.
Also, the music was obnoxiously loud. I could barely hear my boyfriend who was sitting right across from me.
Definitely not coming back. Not worth the hype, not worth the money, and certainly not worth the experience. Tip was not worth paying for:)

Restaurantji Recommends
There are enough reviews about the food. It is good, very good. Some complain too bland, some too salty. I will just say everything we ate was spot on, ok the Arancini were a little salty but they were very good (better than Elio Volpe’s). The fact that when we walked in at 6pm every table was occupied is testament to the fact they are doing something right.
It was our anniversary and the restaurant knew that. They brought us a complimentary glass of Prosecco, we ordered our dishes and the service was top notch. Food can be average but if the service is good then all is forgotten. Our waiter, the food runners, the host were all kind, talkative, explained our dishes and attentive. We have been a few times since they have opened and it remains solid and well run. We sat by the kitchen and it was a joy to watch everyone work hard and as a team. We were given a complimentary bowl of gelato at the end which was perfect to end the meal. If you are a vegetarian there are many starters and salad but not much else. Ask before you go. Thanks for a great meal.

My partner and I ordered meatballs ($22), kale salad ($21), linguine Vongole ($36), and pork chop ($49), and drinks + dessert.
Pork chop is tender and flavorful.
Tasteful linguine, just slightly disappointed at their linguine vongole there were empty clam shell and a closed clam, considering the price they charged. The meatballs and kale salad are ordinary but still enjoyable.
Warm and welcoming service with attention to details.
The atmosphere is lively but a bit too loud, tables are situated close to each other.
highly recommend reserving a table in advance as this place was full on weekdays.

We went at Savio volpe to celebrate the birthday of my girlfriend.
Really nice place. We were sat at the bar but it's actually a comfortable spot.
Service was really good during the diner.
We took the ragu pasta and the braised beef. Both were really tasty. The sauce with the braised beef one, omg delicious.
The only bad point was the quantity for the braised beef plate. Really small amount of pasta.
Was way better for the ragu one.
We couldn't choose between the tiramisu and the cannoli for the dessert, so we took both. Delicious both !
Nice attention from the restaurant who gave us 2 sparkling wine and a single ice cream for celebrate the birthday.
With also took 2 glass of red wine and a focaccia
Final bill was around 150$. Which is in the high range for an Italian restaurant I think.
I would said 4.6/5 for the restaurant.
