My food was not as good as I expected. The steak was smaller than it should be and I didn't feel that it was fresh. Appetizers ( calamari and fries) were good.
I went there for happy hour today with old colleagues and I was instantly greeted rudely by the server. As I answered her what drink I wanted, she walked away before I could finish speaking. Also, she was unhappy when I complained that the halibut bites were cold. She also snapped when I asked for a refill of my drink saying “it’s not bottomless by the way.” My table mates also felt the rudeness from the server.
I don’t normally write reviews but this deserves mentioning. I won’t return anytime soon.
The views are amazing, food was excellent and Lulzim was the perfect host. Would def come here again.
I loved this place, Jess is a great server. I unfortunately didn't take photos of my dinner. The braised short rib was fantastic. We also had breakfast here and did the breakfast buffet really good and fresh, with lots of choices. Will come back for sure.
Our first day in Canada and we were recommended this restaurant by our hotel concierge and check in host.
To start we arrived around 3pm, which is 5pm our normal time. We were hoping to get the dinner menu as we wanted a nice steak. The waitress stated they were serving from the lunch menu only. The dinner service started at 4pm, she said we could come back then. We were a little upset, but we were hungry after traveling a good distance on an empty stomach. We decided to change our focus to lunch.
We started with the sourdough & olive oil. We received 2 burnt pieces and 2 medium toasted slices with a spread consisting of balsamic vinegar, butter, and something else I could not recognize. I very much enjoyed the spread over my 2 pieces which were the burnt pieces. I loved it!
I decided on the Lingcod & chips for my lunch. I finally received the fish and chips that tasted like they did not come out of a frozen pre boxed dinner. The server asked on delivery if there was anything else needed, I asked him if they had malt vinegar on the side. He replied I'll be right back and left with a smile. Our waitress came by to quickly ask if we needed anything, since receiving our meals. I said only my tea refilled, thinking that the gentleman was getting the malt vinegar. Five to ten minutes pass, and the gentleman came back out serving another table. He glanced over at me, then realized he forgot my malt vinegar. He apologized and left. Our waitress came by again and asked if there was something wrong with my food, I told her I was waiting on the malt vinegar. She immediately took off as if I should have told her that in the first place. She came back with the small cup for me and set it down, nothing stated and walked away. Made me feel a little ashamed that I asked for it. The gentlman also walked out and apologetically smiled my direction and delivered food he was carrying for another table. I ran out of my tea and water and needed a refill. Our waitress did not come back, until it was time to pay. My husband had to give me his water he had left to try to help. Apparently there was just one waitress waiting on the tables and the one gentleman serving the food. So the table service slowed considerably as it got busier.
The food was good.
The service needed help.
The restaurant atmosphere was nice.
If you are to eat here, I would suggest first to look at what times the services are for each menu before deciding. We were unaware, otherwise we may have gone somewhere else.
I had very positive experience staying at the Pinnacle about a month ago. Decided to come here to use the lunch guest coupons from the stay. Overall, poor experience. The food quality is below average. The restaurant menu claims that the Fish and Chips is popular and a favorite by customers, but it’s literally two pieces of overcooked fish with very hard breading that leaves your mouth sore. I had the Fish and Chips twice, today and once before during my stay. The first time I thought it was mistakenly overcooked, but now I realized it’s just bad. Fool me twice, shame on me. A lot of people probably order it because it’s a safe bet to eat in any menu and it is the first and only time they will ever eat at the restaurant. I bet if they could somehow survey returning customers, those same people like me would not order it again.
First, I walk up to the hostess to ask for a table. The hostess says nothing, no greeting whatsoever and proceeds to seat me. She says nothing the whole time I’m following her to the table, then sets the menu down and walks away. She didn’t say a single word during the interaction. Not to sound unreasonable but I realized that was the first time in my life that a hostess neither greeted me or nor said anything. After the meal, I politely mentioned it to my server (who provided good and normal table service) with the hopes of him saying something privately to discourage such rude service, but as it turns out, she is the MANAGER lol. Hosting must’ve been beneath her or maybe my outfit gave off poor person vibes haha too bad I live in a 3BR here in downtown less than five mins away.
Second, another server brings out my food and walks right past me. A customer at the other table had to redirect him to me. Since I’m eating fish and there was no lemon with the meal, I asked him for some lemon. The guy takes more than five mins to comeback, which is alot given there’s only two pieces of fish. By the time he comes back, I’ve already ate almost half of my meal. He walks up with a little fish plate and ONE single slice of lemon lol. I chuckled when I saw him and it was a bit humorous because the little plate looked so empty with one lemon in the middle. He then gives me the lemon and says, “I hope this is enough for you.” To which I laughed and answered, “No, it’s not.” At this point, Im already not enjoying my experience so I let the awkwardness sit for a few seconds before politely asking, “Do you mind if I get a bit more?” To his credit, he returned quickly, this time with TWO slices lol.
Last, I was sitting outside and there was a strong smell of gas coming from somewhere. Im not sure what it was but it was present the whole time I was eating. It was noticeable enough that I looked around several times to make sure there was no hazard around me.
With all that said, I’m absolutely never coming back here. I thought about not tipping to make a point, but ended up doing so because I didn’t want to punish my server for things that he wasn’t responsible for. It may seem like I’m being a whiner, but it’s incredible what you notice after a bad first impression of the customer service. Too many good places nearby with much better quality of food and service to spend even $1 here.
All of the main courses were overcooked.
Ordered the New York striploin, medium. It was very dry and chewy. The price charged is not justified.
Also, service felt rushed and slightly annoyed.
Best piece of cedar plank salmon I’ve ever eaten. Service was good considering they were down at least one server.
Everything was wonderful, except that we got ketchup instead of cranberry sauce with our turkey dinner

Lou was fantastic, really made eating here worthwhile. Helped us with our choices and was so very pleasant.
Cold food served at first. Had to be replaced with hot food. Should have been hot the first time. Got a 20% discount for the troubles.
We had our family Christmas lunch at p2b Bistro. We were served by Pavel and he provided outstanding service.
Very good service. Very very good food. The place was nice where we could hear to talk. Nothing but positive to say
Excellent food and service from Lu!
