Had a really fun brunch here with a group of friends for a pre-Christmas get-together. We kicked things off with a mimosa tower, which definitely got the party started, then shared a bunch of dishes that all looked great and tasted just as good.
The French toast was the standout for me, nice crunchy edges with a soft, fluffy center. I also really liked the Cajun chicken sandwich; it had plenty of greens, and the chicken was juicy and satisfying without feeling heavy, kind of a feel good “healthy-ish” option.
The space itself is a big plus too, high ceilings and lots of room, so it never felt cramped even with a group. Prices felt reasonable for the quality, especially considering the downtown location. Overall, a solid spot for a relaxed group brunch and good vibes all around.
Great place for a nice brunch. Very accommodating with our group of 7 and service was top notch. Matcha latte was done really well, not too sweet but just right. My whole party enjoyed and we'd definitely come back. Highlights were the potatoes - some of the best I've had that serves this type of breakfast/brunch.
We were visiting from out of province and walked by this place and were luckily able to get seated without a reservation. The restaurant had a bright and lively atmosphere. The drink menu for coffee and warm drinks was superb. The quality of the breakfast was noticeably better than other breakfasts we had during our stay in Vancouver. Great service, good food! Highly recommend this place.

We reserved a table for high tea this weekend and when we arrived they had run out of scones. They did replace them with cookies but it was too many sweets. High tea without scones is not the same!

What a great selection of breakfast and brunch items, great espresso based drinks too. If you go after 11:30 you can get both the brunch and the dinner menu available to you. Waiting time on a Sunday might seem long , but usually clears within 5-10 mins max! So don’t despair if you see a crowd at the door, and they mention a 25 min wait.
The avocado toast was a bit disappointing for me, the sour cabbage was the hero of the plate (overpowering flavor + extra full coverage), not the avocado it self. You get more avocado by ordering a side of, rather than the named-after avocado toast ;) friendly tip! The bread was great.
Mind you though it is a VERY LOUD environment. The interior acoustics are so bad/reverberant, and if you are generally one to avoid loud bubble/restaurant noise, this place may not be for you.

I stopped in for brunch at Palate Kitchen during my trip to Vancouver and absolutely loved it. The service was genuinely top-notch — friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. And the food? Excellent. Fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in the city!

Service, coffee and ambiance were good, unfortunately the food not so much. Had the palate breakfast and eggs benny. Both dishes were just ok. The price is not really worth it.

whenever i have the chance to visit this place, I never miss it. i even make sure that friends from out of town or people who are new to the city get to know this beautiful, delicious, and very comfortable spot. some of the staff members who speak spanish are incredibly warm and welcoming just like good latinos and that definitely adds an extra touch.

Palate Kitchen was such a pleasant surprise! The food was awesome, and the portions were so big that my breakfast actually became my lunch too. Great service, high-quality ingredients, and very nice staff. The space is large and accessible as well.
Highly recommend!
