The coffee is just not good. Very acidic and smells burnt.

Pallet Coffee Roasters impresses with its commitment to quality and sustainability. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for leisurely afternoons. Their coffee, sourced from ethical farms, has a distinct flavor profile, balancing boldness and subtlety. The Kenyan single-origin particularly stands out with its bright, fruity notes. The baristas are knowledgeable, adding to the overall experience. While the food menu is limited, what's offered is fresh and complements the coffee. Prices are slightly above average, but justified by the quality. A must-visit for coffee aficionados in the area.

Reasonable prices for a varied and diverse breakfast menu! Good mix of your usual fare and new breakfast items to try. Also offers a coffee shop for casual sitting and to go offerings if not looking for dine in.
I was treated to lunch at 'Palate Kitchen' when on business in Vancouver. On entering the all-day cafe you are struck by the elegance and character of this Georgian Revival Style heritage building which dates back to 1921 when it was the special headquarters for one of the province's largest insurance and real estate firms. Its upscale and bright interior is a pleasant environment to enjoy the mouthwatering menu... I had the Cajun Chicken Sandwich and it was superb in quality, taste and presentation. I can certainly recommend dining here.
Great coffee in a nice location.

Part of a mini chain. this location offer sitdown food as well and grab and go pastries and coffee. All of it is first rate, and the staff is a wonderful as the food.
Downtown needs more cozy brunch places like this. Very good coffee too. I eat here every few months, casual and client meet ups.Modern meets old in this location setting. Spacious, easy to talk work or catch up with a friend.Tried many things on the menu, yet to be let down, food is always good.Overall, 4.5 stars from me!

We have entered that restaurant without knowing it The service was pleasant fast and efficient we both had pulled pork sandwiches which were very good and the dessert was also excellent It was nevertheless a little bit noisy
I actually hesitated a lot before coming in because there are now so many Instagram photo op restaurants/cafes that come with with great/pretty deco but really over-priced while ordinary quality food and staff with attitude (yes I’m talking about the one on Robson that I gave reviews several weeks ago).Pallet has that pretty deco too. However, I was over-worried, food and service are worth the money spent. I can see the staffs were busy but they still took care of the needs of customers. I cannot say this would be a cafe that I’d crave for a but I would always say yes if a friend says let’s go there for brunch. It’s a little loud inside and I think that’s because of the hard surface decos inside.

I arrived and was greeted and shown a seat. The server was friendly and helpful making a couple of recommendations as i couldn't decide and was too tired to think. Food arrived very quickly and was delicious.
The place seems busy with tourists, with just a few locals like myself, who are genuinely intrigued by this place because of its exterior. The server performed exceptionally well, even while multitasking. I sampled a few items from their menu, and while most were just average (scrambled eggs are too dry and not served hot), I must say I particularly enjoyed their French toast. There isn't a wide variety available for fresh juices. The two mezzanines leave little room for the imagination. It lacks the spaciousness one would expect for weddings as shown on the website. While it may work for wedding proposals, it's not ideal for even moderately sized weddings. Your guests may feel uncomfortable navigating between levels, and the wedding party might find it distracting to have tables on different mezzanines. A restaurant's appeal primarily lies in its delicious food, rather than its aesthetic charm, no matter how impressive it may appear from the inside and out. Unfortunately, Palate Kitchen turns out to be a disappointment overall.
