The vibe was so cozy and welcoming, feels like im back in the Philippines in a karinderya. The food was amazing it was really authentic kapampangan cuisine and the staff were really welcoming and friendly. Same as the first location on Joyce St.
Food was great and tasty. My daughter liked their sinigang, friend and I enjoyed their calderetta, all paired with rice. She said it tasted like home, similar to flavors from Uganda. I liked their halo-halo, except for the taho slushy flavor can be better and less artificial overly sweet tasting. Service is great but can improve on consistency. I've been there a few times, halo-halo wasn't made the same way as my on my second and third visit. Ingredients and toppings...
I don’t usually give a perfect 5-star rating unless a restaurant truly exceeds my expectations, and this one did just that. The food is excellent, especially the sisig-it’s hands down the best I’ve had in Vancouver. On top of that, the service was outstanding. The woman who served me was incredibly accommodating and sweet. I believe she’s the one who always wears earrings-she really made the experience enjoyable. I hope you hire more people like her!
