Great food at reasonable prices. We rate all others against their prawns and most fail. Always a friendly greeting.

It’s been years since I’ve been here.. ownership must’ve changed in that time because the space looks much nicer - like someone actually cares! And I’m very happy that there are now Chinese dishes on the menu. Went in for lunch today and had a really delicious sweet and sour crispy chicken. I love sweet and sour (anything!) but so many places can’t get it crisp. And it has to be crisp! It was very tasty. Don’t know if it was the owner who served me but she was very nice and friendly, and the food came out quickly and piping hot. Can’t wait to try their other dishes.
Have to edit my review and remove a couple of stars. I ordered ma po tofu for pick up. Was asked if I wanted it with beef or chicken which I didn’t understand as the menu says it comes with minced beef - no mention of chicken. I said “doesn’t it come with ground beef?” “What’s ground beef?” Guess I should’ve said “minced”. I explained that it was finely chopped beef. “Yes we cut it smaller”. OK then. When I picked up the order, she confirmed ma po tofu. I got home and it was tofu with black bean sauce. And chunks of beef. Didn’t enjoy it - especially as I was expecting something else.

Super friendly staff
I like their ginger onion beef the most but this toufu rice is also very good!
The Tom yum goong was thin, watery & tasted like it was made from the cheapest store bought Tom yum paste. The shrimp were also severely over cooked. What’s the point of ordering from here when I can buy a better paste & make this at home?
Hands DOWWWNNN!!! Best Thai in Vancouver. I’ve literally moved to North Van and still make the trek to pick up take out at papaya hut. Please open on the north shore!! Haha.
low quality food. there are many thai places in vancouver much better than this
Yummy and family run :)
Crispy chili chicken is very nice! Must give it a try!
Restaurantji Recommends
I have delivered an Uber eats order for this restaurant last night.
I would highly recommed this restaurant, because if someone takes care about delivery man's feelings and dignity as the lady owns/runs this place do, then those are the one you should trust regarding food safety and customer service.
Why ?, because the delivery man is the hidden and most neglected part in this transaction, and we sometimes met the worst and the most racist treatment you could imagine from a restaurant in Vancouver.
They are on my maps list of top restaurants, and I will be happy to help them satisfy their customers :)
So I don’t know how it’s possible but I think they were delivered by the sun, they stayed so hot
But the one on the left the tamarind one
Lacks flavour and it’s not good and it’s dry
The right one also not good just a tad better the tomatoes one
Would not get again

To be honest, the Pad Thai I ordered was the best one I have ever eaten so far, I have tried different Pad Thai at different restaurants, but this one was surprisingly chewy and delicious. The crispy ginger beef and coconut rice were good too. Too bad it's a bit too pricey for me, and the portion was smaller. The owners were very nice though. I hope their small business thrives.

Really nice restaurant. Food is great, come for the lunch special all the time and it's quite cheap but also delicious. Had the green curry and the cashew chicken on separate occasions and I'd recommend both.
