Papi's Seafood and Oyster Bar

Went for dinner and highly enjoyed our time at Papi’s Seafood and Oyster Bar.
Ordered the Papi’s Caesar drink, The Lobster Roll, Papi’s Poke Bowl and fresh oysters.
Everything we ordered was fantastic.
The oysters were fresh and delicious, the Caesar’s drink was great and had an oyster added to it and the lobster roll and poke bowl was good.
Additionally, the service was excellent. The server was very friendly, helpful and great to chat to. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Had a great experience at the restaurant—Connor and the staff were absolutely amazing! The food was delicious, but what really stood out was the service. Connor went above and beyond and truly set the bar high. We’ll definitely be back!

We were very pleasantly surprised at the whole experience! Wonderful service and it was complimented with the most amazing meal. So well presented all around! We will be making this a staple when we return to Vancouver!

We had lunch on the outdoor deck. There was a choice of 6 different types of oysters, so we picked a West coast one recommended by our server, Illiou (sp?) and ordered 4. (Minimum order is 3). They were delicious - very fresh, served on a bed of crushed ice with little dishes of shaved horseradish, cocktail sauce, and vinegar, with lemon wedges. Then we each had the one piece halibut fish and chips (this can be ordered with one or two pieces, and rockfish or halibut). These were the best fish and chips I’ve had, and I’ve ordered F&C countless times. The fish was very fresh, cooked just right, moist and delicious, and the batter was thin and crispy, not doughy or bready. Fries were good too, as was the Cole slaw. So many fries we couldn’t finish them. Our waiter was excellent. I would eat here again in a heartbeat.

There were three of us. The first person to put their order of food was completely forgot about. The second order of food came within minutes and I was left eating with two people who had no food( The pasta I ordered tasted like air and the garlic toast was obviously wonder bread from the grocery store). The other person had to waive the server down to even put an order in. By the time we had both finished the food we realize that the first order had been completely forgotten about. When arrived it was clear that the Halibut in the fish and chips had been fried a second time when it had been forgotten about/ not picked up by server. The cutlery had also all been taken away, So when he finally got his food, he had nothing to eat with. The server was less than apologetic about the whole thing and in fact seem to have an attitude about it. Furthermore, I asked for house wine and instead was given wine that was $23 a glass. After all the mess of the food that was the only thing that was checked up on, and I was given another glass of wine, which I expected to be around $10- so my wine alone was over $60 . No dessert menu was offered or any follow up questions about what we may want. The bill took forever to come even though even though we were clearly done. The restaurant was basically empty, so I’m not sure that the server was overwhelmed. We have bad days and I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, but the attitude of the whole thing was very offputting. Having brought brought my folks there from out of town for a really nice experience, this was disappointing to say the least.

Came for a glass of wine and the ocean view—which was honestly the best part. I had the kale Caesar with prawns, and it was super basic: just a few prawns, some dressing, croutons, and a few tomatoes. Tried a mix of oysters too—okay but small (should’ve gone for the bigger ones). Kinda pricey for what you get, and the service didn’t really stand out. Worth it for the patio vibes, but that’s about it.

Disappointing Experience Due to Poor Service

My family and I visited the restaurant today around 2:00 PM, and unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing. While we understand they were short-staffed, the attitude of the waitresses suggested a complete lack of care or attention.

We ordered both food and drinks; the food eventually arrived, but the drinks never did. We also asked for water multiple times as we were sitting under the sun and starting to feel dehydrated, but it was never brought to us, despite reminding the staff twice. The restaurant wasn’t even busy at the time.

After waiting for nearly an hour, the drinks still hadn’t arrived. While the staff offered a vague apology, we were still charged for the food despite the poor service. Honestly, it felt like they were more eager for us to leave than to actually serve us.

I strongly recommend hiring staff who are willing to provide decent customer service

We stopped in from the pouring rain to dry off and Noah completely took care of us! We were able to try two each of the three varieties of oysters and had a few ciders. It was perfect and Noah was so genuine. Thank you so much!

I was here about 9-10 months ago, and food was good. I just went back recently with a group of friends and no one was impressed by their dish. Even though atmosphere is great and the spot is beautiful, unfortunately, food is not very impressive. I hope they improve on that

Very easy going place with great food and great views. Every time we come the oysters are always delicious and fresh. I also highly recommend the Korean style Angus kalbi beef burger, an absolute smash hit everytime.
