I'm a coffee guy vs tea if forced to choose. Have to say if I were to reside in Vanxouver, I'd be a regular here. Think he was the owner but his sense of pride in the process that goes into making the various tea based drinks was clearly felt. I got the Oolong Hong Kong style tea and my wife ordred one of the Matcha teas and both were fantastic. Highly recommend.

Besides tea, they also sell chocola-tea bars, tea-infused popcorn, cookies and bubble waffles.- Matcha black sesame ($6.90) - one of their spring specials. Black sesame added a nice nuttiness that balanced well with the matcha. Drink could have been hotter.- Ceremonial matcha oat ($6.85) - smooth, slightly creamy. Again, good matcha flavour.- The OG bubble waffle ($5.25) - limp and soggy. My friend and I came here for a drink and the place was packed. I ordered a spicy chai with almond milk and a sea salt and chocolate cookie. Both were yummy and yes it was worth the wait. There is limited seating and most people collected their drinks and headed out. My friend and I managed to find a spot on the couch near the front door so we could talk and catch up. I would come back here, for sure, and recommend you try one of the many beverages.
Hojicha drink was great! Bubble waffle with mochi was nice too. A little suggestion to tidying the dining area more often as this would make the shop more decent as a "tea room".
There were mixed reviews in our group. We had various teas and the matcha mochi bubble waffle. The tea lattes were generally well-received, though my matcha latte tasted primarily of milk and little else. The bubble waffle was very unique and, though not impactful, had a great mixture of the waffle crunch and mochi chew in each bite.

Not too sweet! The best compliment an Asian can give ;) tried their classic hojicha and it was rich and flavourful. Decided to buy a back of their obsidian hojicha to bring home to try - can’t wait!

We are regulars here and the past two times I've been disappointed.Seems like the hot drink options always leave your drink half liquid and half foam. If the boards update to reflect "cappuccino" I might understand. But no one wants a half empty cup full of foam/air. I'm sure the barista can feel the weight of the cup when they hand it to the customer, plus the cups aren't really a big size to begin with.I feel like I paid for half a cup at around $7.50 a cup plus tip, expensive considering there are other options in the city catching up in terms of quality. I don't have issues with the cold drinks as they don't pack it with ice.Recommend that you go for the cold options and not hot or else there's a high chance you will end up with a half cup of foam/air.

They have multiple types of hojicha to choose from (amber, bronze, obsidian, mango) which you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else. I also love how all of their drinks come with plant-based milk.Their new (I used to go years ago) location on Cambie is smaller and more out of the way, but their food and drinks are just as amazing.
