I mean really only if you’re in a jam and need food right away, go up a couple blocks to Royal Seafood.

Late Post: Pelican Seafood Restaurant 又一村海鲜酒家 is open 7 Days a Week dim sum from 10:00 AM closes 10:00 PM.

Haven't been here for a long time, while in the area decided to see if there was any improvement and to support a local family-owned restaurant that has been in the area for ages. Place still is dated inside and out, but with no parking on the street before 6pm this place was option to grab a bite and not be stuck in rush hour for an early dinner.

An old school, no-frills place with acceptable service for a simple meal without fancy plating.
No complaints but nothing either rememerable just like before. Prices are more economical than some others in the neighborhood, you pay for what you get I guess, portion size was abundant. They did offer us yummy complimentary baked tapioca, which is not the standard dessert your usually get.

The food here is average for Vancouver—it's standard fare amongst the other Chinese restaurants. However, the administrative side of the business is a concern. The website displays incorrect prices and fails to apply advertised takeout discounts. Unfortunately, resolving this is difficult due to poor communication during ordering and pick up. Just be aware when making orders online or over the phone.

This place is the worst choice for Chinese cuisine and I've been to many restaurants. I ordered Peking duck and what came out does not look edible. We left the plate mostly untouched. I have included a picture of said plate below. I will not be returning.

5 stars! Pelican Seafood Restaurant never disappoints. Fresh dim sum, great portions, and fast, friendly service. One of the best spots in Vancouver for seafood and dim sum!

Hidden Gem, hole in the wall in East Van old school Chinese restaurant! They have Classic Chinese dim sum and modernized version. Definitely will bring my parents here for lunch again!

Authentic, cheap, and tasty. No fancy décor — just good Guangdong food done right.

We got a raw dumpling and was slightly frozen. Only one server and take so long to complain. They are not apologizing at all and even they charge on my bill. I don’t know they want to keep the business or not. If you are not Chinese and if you are not going to order expensive course menu, do not go there. They are not care.

Authentic Chinese. Fresh ingredients. The clams with black bean sauce were really good. Big portions. Wonderful service.

I was very disappointed with my visit to Pelican Seafood Restaurant. The service was extremely slow and unorganized — it felt like the staff didn’t care about customers at all. We waited far too long for our food, and when it finally arrived, the quality did not match the prices. Dishes were cold and lacked freshness, and the overall experience was frustrating. There are many better seafood restaurants in the area — I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for good service and quality food.

We ordered xiaolongbao and shrimp dumplings. Unfortunately, we didn’t notice until after eating some that they were raw inside. (Really hoping we don’t get sick!) When we told the server, she laughed and said, “Oh, that’s sashimi then! Haha, sorry! We’ll make new ones.” We had already nearly finished the xiaolongbao by the time we realized, but we hadn’t touched the shrimp dumplings. They only replaced the dumplings and still charged us full price—no apology, nothing. We won’t be going back. It was a big disappointment.
