Really disappointing experience. I came here 40 minutes before close and the staff were really hostile (one was the owner). They seemed annoyed that we came in and barely greeted us. I ordered an iced latte and sandwich which were good but the service really ruined my experience. It honestly felt personal because I saw the way the barista talked to other customers and she smiled and said thank you to them. This is my second time coming here, the first time I had no issues but I don’t know if I’ll be back after today.

I am very picky about my matcha and this is my favourite spot to grab a matcha latte. They use a nice grade of matcha, prepare the matcha base properly with a matcha whisk, and the matcha to other ingredient ratio has been consistently good!Their hojicha latte and coffee drinks are also very good! LOVE the baked goods here. The staff are also wonderful!It’s located at E Hastings and Garden Dr along the main road (accessible by the R5 bus or 7 Nanaimo). Seating is limited, but the ambience is so cozy.
I absolutely love this place. It is my place to go before hikes and road trip. I usually grab an Almond croissants plus a couple more of the great pastries they have for a breakfast and snack.
