I suggest indoor dining on your visit. We visited early Decmber and were seated on the patio, but the experience fell short for an establishment this high. Worth the wait for a table inside. The patio was cold, despite heaters above. We ate with our jackets on and wind blew under the patio from the street, making our feet cold. Arrived 12min after our reso start time and was asked to wait in the reservation line. It took an additional 15 min before we helped by the host. By this point we were told our table inside was given up. Even after confirming their text that we are still showing. When making a reservation, make sure you include any wait time in the line ups. They will not consider this wait time for contributing to your arrival time. The food was outstanding though. Definitely will be going back.

I visited Social Corner in Yaletown with my fiancée to celebrate our 5th anniversary, and we arrived with high hopes. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to the excitement of the occasion.

We started with the patatas bravas and the grilled chorizo. The chorizo was genuinely delicious—well-cooked and full of flavour. The patatas bravas, however, were a major letdown. They were barely cooked, under-seasoned, and had the texture and taste of old potatoes that had been reheated, possibly even microwaved. The dish lacked the crispness and spice that patatas bravas are known for.

For our main, we ordered the chicken paella with tiger prawns. The chicken itself was excellent—tender, well-seasoned, and the highlight of the dish. Unfortunately, everything else missed the mark. The prawns were overcooked and bland, and the rice was boring, lacking any real seasoning or Spanish character. Paella should be vibrant and aromatic, but this version felt flat and uninspired.

One bright spot was the service. Our server was warm, attentive, and genuinely made us feel taken care of throughout the meal.

Overall, while the service was wonderful, the food quality didn’t match the atmosphere or our expectations. With improvements to execution and flavour, Social Corner could offer a much more memorable dining experience

Overall, it was just okay. The seafood paella was too salty, and the salad was bland; we had to ask for dressing later. The pasta was a bit undercooked, maybe I'm just not used to it. The pizza was delicious.

The Social Corner means a lot of things to a lot of people. Their menu has enough breadth to satisfy the pickiest eater in your group, or make for several uniquely different repeat experiences: burgers, pizzas, Italian cuisine, Spanish tapas, and a decent desserts selection. From pastries and brunch on one end of the day, to happy hour drinks and late night nibbles on the other. They have got the entire day covered.

On this occasion, my wife and I came just for their pizzas, which we noticed was a bit of a specialty in and of itself. They were cooked in an open flame brick oven and arrived with a pair of scissors which made for a lot of fun cutting up whatever sized slices we pleased.

The ingredients in the middle were bristling with flavour from the mushrooms, herbs and fresh sauces. But most notable of all was the distinctly pillowy crust which sponged up any tomato sauce and olive oil like a focaccia bread would. The mildly charred exterior and soft interior made for a delightful crunch-chew mouthfeel and toasty aroma that most other pizzerias struggle to achieve.

We enjoyed a side of truffle fries, and some broccolini. The non-alcoholic negroni (the ‘Non-groni’) was surprisingly convincing and highly recommended.

The ambience over dinnertime was pleasant with the entire restaurant packed with groups of different sizes. In our view, this was a truly worthwhile experience on either end of downtown Vancouver (two locations) and a sure crowd pleaser.

We enjoyed superbly made burgers, fries & old fashioned. Attentive service. The music selection was a distraction from the ambiance—monotonous & bordering on disco music.

Probably the most beautiful venue I've been to but seriously expensive for its food value. Gave us drink refills without asking and charged us for it. Food was great though as long as you can afford it lol

Had seafood paella, goat cheese salad and house garlic bread with mission hill sauvignon blanc suggested by our waiter Connor. The perfect Trifecta of citrus, sweet and savory. Thank you Connor. A great value.

Beautiful patio in Yaletown. Great drinks, great food, great service. Social Corner in Yaletown serves up its daily Michelin-recommended brunch. Indulge in sophisticated takes on brunch classics, such as their luxurious Benedict or the Spanish-inspired Brunch Bravas—double-cooked potatoes topped with poached eggs, spicy marinara, and chipotle aioli.
